Recaps from Fire Eater Wizard...

On The Metallic Onslaught: Santa Claus was there again, and he had some more
facts for us. I said when he first arrived there a couple weeks ago how he
set us all straight on what he and his life is really like as opposed to the
lovely picturesque lie that we have been fed (how there is no sleigh or
reindeer and has not been for a long time now - among other things). Well,
this week we learned even more about that. He requested that Weird Al
Yankovic song, "The Night Santa Went Crazy", which is about Santa massacring
all his helpers and reindeer. Then Santa told us that was the true version
of events (except for the ending, as in actuality Santa got away with it and
was never punished, which is why he is still here). So now you know the
truth. Just another great service that this show provides - exposing myths
and lies and uncovering the true story. I'm sure there is an award for them
in this for their breaking this important story. Santa left after the first
couple hours, as this upcoming week is his busiest time of the whole year.
He said he may be back in the new year. as things slow down for him after
that. Before going he gave them something which he said he was sure they
would all like a lot. He told them to be sure to read the instructions that
went along with this package as that was very important. After Santa had
gone Jeffie arrived. Now something has been really weird (I mean even weird
for him) with Jeffie ever since that extremely bizarre thing where he
disappeared at the end of a show a few weeks back after covering himself
with jam. He just hasn't been what passes for normal for him ever since
then. It was the week after that he totally snapped, with the mask and the
insane rants. Then there was the whole retirement thing. So, last week he
said that that would be his last show as he was retiring... Now here he was,
back again. However, maybe that Jeffie did retire and this was a new version
of Jeffie, or a new personality had taken over, or something, as he seemed
to have no memories of anything that had happened to him or any of his other
many clones. When they demanded to know why he was back after promising to
retire, he said how could he retire when he was brand new? He seemed to have
no memory of retiring, or of having met Santa the week before, or of having
ever met Shoebox (well, I guess it's understandable that he could forget
Shoebox, as Shoebox hasn't been there in since like forever. So, I guess
that one really isn't that weird after all. But this Jeffie kept insisting
that he was brand spanking new and, apparently, had no experiences to
recall. (so, I guess we will never know how he and Rahul spent their week
together unless Rahul comes back some day for a visit and we hear it from
him - who knows, maybe Rahul is responsible for this latest weird change in
Jeffie). And he still kept babbling, sounding at times like he was talking
baby talk, and ranting on about things that made no sense. And this new
version of Jeffie seemed to be defective at that... He would be talking, and
then just freeze, total silence 'til someone kicked or smacked him, like he
kept getting stuck. Then, when he would come out of it, he had no memory of
what had just happened. Once he was on his way in to kick Joes ass because
Joe had been making fun of him, and he got there, and froze. So Joe put him
in front of the closed door, and when Jeffie came to, he slammed into it,
not knowing how the door got to be where Joe was. This went on all night...
Jeffie would go to brawl with someone, freeze, and then come to wondering
how he had wound up on the floor (where, of course, they had thrown him). At
the end of the night, Jeffie was being annoying and obnoxious (that was
something that had never changed), and Joe said that he thought it was time
to try out the thing that Santa had left them... Jeffie attempted to start
another brawl. And then there was this terrible noise. Lance seemed
bewildered and asked Joe what he had just poured on his head, and why had he
done that. Joe explained that he had read the instructions that went with
the package. And according to them he was supposed to sprinkle faerie dust
(yes, that's right, faerie dust) on Lance. Now at first Lance was
understandably not to thrilled to hear this... However, this faerie dust had
apparently briefly turned Lance in to a zombie. He had attacked Jeffie and
apparently eaten a lot of his face. And now Jeffie (or what was left of him
anyways) was lying on the floor, silent, motionless, and, apparently, dead.
But, as all of Jeffie's parts have been ripped off many times and just
regenerate, I would not be surprised if he shows up again in the new year...
Or if not this one, then another clone ... I say "in the new year" as this
was the last Metallic Onslaught for '04. The show will be off for the next
two weeks, for the holidays, and will return on Friday January 7th 2005...
Tune in then and all through the year to see what insane chaos awaits us all
in the coming year...

On The Last Exit: Let me see if I am up to the challenge of adequately
recording everyone who was there this week as there were only like 50 people
there! Well, ok, not quite that many, but a damn lot! Ok, here we go... :)
First of all Tim from Victory Records was there for the first time in
several months. Just Joe was back. Ian The Yeti and his friend Matt, The
Enforcer (Harold), The Penguin, Alan, Ron (the bassist for the Pushrods, who
made a brief visit) and a new female person who, as of yet, does not have a
name. There, I think I got all the guests! Now, on to the events of the
night... This was the 8th Pre-Anniversary count down to the end of the world
extravaganza. The world will come to an end on December 23rd 2012 according
to the Mayan calendar, but for Ian's sake, they changed it to the 21st. And,
coincidentally, Ian's birthday happens to be December 22nd. So, he only has
7 more birthdays after this one, and will die (along with everyone else)
just before he turns 30. So, to celebrate this joyous fact, the first couple
of hours of the show were devoted to helping Ian celebrate his birthday,
they didn't want him to have 8. They had gotten a cake for him. Now, a
couple weeks ago, I described how Just Joe might actually not be as stupid
as we think (although he did get arrested and thrown in jail over the
previous week, so, I guess there goes that observation, but more on that in
a bit), and I sited how he was not as dumb as some I could name, like Ian,
who keep falling for things and doing what they tell him to do, But
apparently Ian is smartening up as well (if this trend keeps up, they could
have real trouble if everyone becomes too smart to listen to them, they
would have to find new idiots, but, then again, idiots are always in
abundant supply), because he was extremely reluctant to eat the cake. They
tried to assure him that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the cake
and that they would never do anything bad to him on his birthday and that
everything was just fine. But that only made Ian more certain that
everything was wrong as he said that if they say nothing bad will happen, it
always means that terrible things will happen. See, I told you he was
getting wiser. :) But, he finally did give in to temptation and ate the
cake, and, actually, remained relatively unscathed, for this night, at
least. Both Matt and Ian also had with them rape whistles, yes, rape
whistles, and there those could be extremely useful items, which kept
getting blown (blown, huhu huhu), throughout the night. Later, as Alan was
proving himself to be quite useful in taking care of both Just Joe and the
Penguin, it was thought that, perhaps, he should be named the new Enforcer.
So they devised a contest to see which of them, Alan or Harold, should be
The Enforcer. They gave The Penguin a monkey, which makes her flip out and
become even more annoying, and told Harold and Alan that whichever of them
could get the monkey away from her (without destroying the monkey in the
process) would earn the right to be The Enforcer... A terrific battle
ensued. However, the question of who gets to be the enforcer was never
solved as Just Joe (who wanted the monkey and joined in the fray) wound up
with the monkey. He tore it's head off, but he wound up with it. But this
did have the desirous effect of getting rid of The Penguin, as she was so
traumatized by the beheading of the monkey that she had to leave. Alan And
Harold were also traumatized and worn out by the battle, so they too left.
It should also be said that somewhere in the melee, Harold manages to smash
some cake on Alan's head, so that gets him some points... Azkath proclaimed
Alan the new Enforcer since he gave up the battle for the monkey rather than
letting it get destroyed. So the question of who is the Enforcer was
settled for the moment anyways. Just Joe was of course not a part of the
contest for the title as Just Joe can not be The Enforcer as he is usually
what needs to be enforced. Ian and Matt left as well (probably wanting to
get out of there while their luck was still holding and they hadn't suffered
too much). We learned why Just Joe had not been there the week before... It
seems that the rumors were in fact correct... He had been arrested and put
in jail (for all of four hours this time), apparently stemming from his
taking Fritz prisoner and gluing him to his car seat. Fritz was not there
still, and Just Joe claimed that he was still attached to the seat (he was
out of the car, but the seat was still glued to him according to Just Joe).
So, who knows what has become of poor Fritz. Of course Just Joe was bragging
saying that, since he had spent more time in jail this time, now he was
really, really Hardcore. The rest of the night was spent talking to the new
unnamed person. She was asked and answered many of the wacky questions from
theinsanedomain.com. In the last hour or so of the night, we got to hear the
recording of the performance of If Man Is Five from The Punch Drunk Monkey's
10th anniversary concert played in it's entirety, plus some of the songs
that they had performed acoustically live on LE a few weeks ago. It sounded
great. And thus went the 8th Pre-Anniversary countdown to the end of the
world extravaganza show. I think I managed to get in everyone and all of the
insanity. As I said, and you can see, there were a ton of people there and
much insane action! Only 7 more of these shows to go! And, this week as the
show falls on midnight right after Christmas Day, it will be an extremely
Satanic type extravaganza. There should hopefully be a Satan there, perhaps
bearing satanic presents) and certainly much evil. Don't miss all the fun!

Upcoming info from Azkath...

Satan Clause. Will he make an appearance this week on The Last Exit for the
Lost? You never know. He has promised presents whether he is there to
deliver them in person or not. Who else will be there? No clue. We will
see. It will be a good, evil night though... Maybe if enough people show
up, we can sacrifice one of them...

Website: www.darkthrone.no
The Newest Darkthrone album “Sardonic Wrath” is set for a January 18th
release date for North America.
Darkthrone have also turned down the Alarm Award nomination:
Legendary black metal band, Darkthrone, nominated in the metal category for
the highly coveted Norwegian Alarm Awards last Wednesday, has now been
removed from the list of nominees. Darkthrone, one of five candidates in the
metal category for their outstanding album, 'Sardonic Wrath', communicated
their dissatisfaction at being nominated in an article published in
Norwegian newspaper, Aftenposten the day after the selected names were
released to the public. 'We play real and honest black metal,' drummer
Fenriz commented in the article. 'And we have no interest in being part of
the glitter and showbiz side of the music industry.'
Alarm Awards' chief, Svein Bjørge, though surprised by the band's reaction,
hasted to find a solution that culminated in the band's elimination from the
category altogether. On hearing the news that their wish had been granted,
Fenriz commented - 'I just wanted to say my piece about the whole Alarm
nomination thing last week and whether they kept us in or not would have
been no skin off my nose.' 'I have everything AGAINST awards for black
metal," Nocturno Culto added. 'What a fucking circus this has become.' 'I am
not against awards in general,' Fenriz concluded. 'I just thought it was not
for us.'

GREEN CARNATION – The Quiet Offspring
The End Records | TE054 | Spring 2005

Website: www.greencarnation.no
The latest effort for Green Carnation “The Quiet Offspring” is due for an
early spring release. The musicianship on the record is top notch, taking
elements from the last three records and stepping things up a notch. A truly
unique and enjoyable listening experience! Direct words from the band:
"For me, The Quiet Offspring is the manifest of Green Carnation as a band.
Having been a band in constant change, we are now a unit more than ever, and
I think we have been able to bring the best out of all the members - both
during the recording and the song-writing proccess. The result is the most
heavy, progressive, avant garde, groovy and - I think - the strongest album
from Green Carnation to date."
Kjetil Nordhus, vocals
"I have to agree with kjetil, our 4th album is fucking superb! We worked
great as a team in the studio and we got ourselves a new brilliant showcase
of what Green Carnation is all about - diversity, experimenting and passion
for music. Everyone put down their best efforts and talents into the writing
and recording of the album, and Terje Refsnes managed to get us an
incredible sound! I can`t wait to hold the final product!"

NOVEMBERS DOOM – The Pale Haunt Departure
The End Records | TE052 | March 8th

Website: www.novembersdoom.com
Novemebers Doom have finished up the new record “The Pale Haunt Departure”.
It is a very nice natural progression in what we have come to love from the
band! The release date is set for March 8th. In other News, the band has
parted ways with bass player Mike LeGros. Official statement:
“Novembers Doom have recently parted ways with bass player Mike LeGros. Mike
played bass with the band for the past 2 years, and contributed to the
recording of the upcoming CD, "The Pale Haunt Departure." It was brought to
our attention that he was not comfortable in the band, due to creative
differences, and the dedication to his instrument we required suffered
because of this. Very simply, it was time for a change, on both sides. Mike
is an amazing person, and we are forever grateful for everything he did for
Novembers Doom during his time with us. We wish him nothing but the best
with Disinter, Nachtmystium, and any other project he aligns himself with!
We are in the process of filling the vacant Bass position, and this will not
hinder us from touring, and promoting "The Pale Haunt Departure" in 2005.
Any interested parties should email: info@...

UNEXPECT – New Signing
Website: www.unexpect.com
UNEXPECT? an original band rooted in the creative soils of Quebec. This
metal laboratory uses many musical ingredients which correspond to the human
shifting mood. Mixing elements of black, death, core and melodic metal ;
classical, operatic, medieval, electro, ambient, psychotic, noise and circus
music with a progressive edge and an occasional jazzy touch. With a crew
composed of 7 different beings, the atmosphere sometimes takes a form of
symphonic proportions by its sound diversity and arrangements. Their vocal
performance range from an extreme to the other as they alternate between
glorious choirs; inhuman screams of deep, high, mid-growl and delirious
intensity; theatrical narrations; and clean/sober sections strewn with
bewitching feminine singing pleasures.

Since their origin, UNEXPECT? released a full length album called " Utopia "
which saw the day in 1999, critically acclaimed by many countries around the
world with no distribution whatsoever and with internet as only support. A
new era began for these sound-painters with the release of a new surreal
opus called ?' _wE, Invaders ?' in November 2003. This EP, released on the
label Galy Records in America, caused quite a positive stir with the critics
and is the glorious introduction to the following album currently in
progress that will smash the dull boundaries of vile standards. In may of
2004 they were signed to The End Records; a new relation that should lead
their ambitions to their far reaching goals?the future is set for a coloured
ride, indeed?.

Caffery´s first album for Greek metal specialists Black Lotus Records,
delivers splendid versatile compositions with ultimately catchy hooks.
Chris´ fantasies range from ultra-heavy explosions to psychedelic slow
songs, bluesy tunes and thrilling crossover (nu)metal anthems: powerful,

added sound gimmicks all over the place. As an extra addition to the mighty
“Faces” album, there will be another 9-track CD entitled “ Damn war” which
has a concept of it’s own: War. This bonus album represents a more
aggressive and socially aware side of Chris, incorporating various elements,
which altogether create a unique story expressed through metal music by the
magical hands and voice of Chris.

Osmose | OPCD2165 | January 18

Website: www.yyrkoon.net
Style: Metal (Melodic Death/Black Metal)
Recommended for fans of: Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel and Pantera.
Their music is a mix between a powerful thrash metal and a raw death metal,
the whole linked by solos and melodic parts. It plunges you into a
horror/fantastic context, where the imagination and creativity of a mad
doctor take a dementia shape

+------------- Bizarre Celebrity Complaints --------------+

"I've always said that if anyone ever thought I was straight
they must need glasses -- but when I finally came out and
said, 'Yes, I do sleep with men and I'm gay,' yeah, I lost
record sales. There's no question -- big, big time."

boring, so boring."

like, color coordinated."
-Monica Seles

"I hate housework! You make the beds, you do the dishes-
and six months later you have to start all over again."
-Joan Rivers

"I've actually gone to the zoo and had monkeys shout to me
from their cages, 'I'm in here when you're walking around

+------------ Bizarre (and Stupid) Criminals --------------+

Washington D.C. - A convict broke out of jail in Washington
D.C., then a few days later accompanied his girlfriend to
her trial for robbery. At lunch, he went out for a sandwich.
She needed to see him, and thus had him paged. Police
officers recognized his name and arrested him as he returned
to the courthouse in a car he had stolen over the lunch hour.

Ionia, Michigan - When two service station attendants
refused to hand over the cash to an intoxicated robber, the
man threatened to call the police. They still refused, so
the robber called the police and was arrested.

Radnor, Pennsylvania - Police interrogated a suspect by
placing a metal colander on his head and connecting it with
wires to a photocopy machine. The message "He's lying" was
placed in the copier, and police pressed the copy button
each time they thought the suspect wasn't telling the truth.
Believing the "lie detector" was working, the suspect
confessed.

Toronto, Canada - A gas station attendant had no trouble
identifying a robber for police, even though the man had
worn a pair of women's panties over his head as a disguise.
The thief, who later admitted that his mind was clouded by
intoxicants, had stuck his face through one of the leg-holes
so he could see.

Modesto, CA - Steven Richard King was arrested for trying to
hold up a Bank of America branch without a weapon. King used
a thumb and a finger to simulate a gun, but unfortunately,
he failed to keep his hand in his pocket.

Virginia Beach - A bank robber in Virginia Beach got a nasty
surprise when a dye pack designed to mark stolen money
exploded in his Fruit-of-the-Looms. The robber apparently
stuffed the loot down the front of his pants as he was
running out the door. "He was seen hopping and jumping
around," said police spokesman Mike Carey, "with an
explosion taking place inside his pants."

Los Angeles, California - Police in Los Angeles had good
luck with a robbery suspect who just couldn't control him-
self during a lineup. When detectives asked each man in the
lineup to repeat the words, "Give me all your money or I'll
shoot," the man shouted, "That's not what I said!"

------------------- In the Lap of Luxury -------------------

TOKYO - I'm a little disturbed by this, yet intrigued at the
same time. A popular item this holiday season in Japan
appears to be the "lap pillow," a cushion for lonely men
that has skin-colored polyurethane calves folded under plush
thighs. The $90 pillow, which comes with one red and one
black shirt, has been a hit since it went on sale in November.
Specific details on the pillow include super soft thighs,
panty lines on the "backside" and wrinkles in the lap of the
skirt to make it as real as possible. At stores, lap pillows
gather crowds where people poke and pry at the foam legs.

----------------- In a Sticky Situation --------------------

GEORGETOWN, Guyana - If we've learned one lesson today, it's
that you need some sort of brains to live a life of crime.
Two men entered a home and decided to use duct tape to make
sure the family didn't go anywhere during the robbery. A
teenage girl spotted them and screamed, and then she and her
grandmother fought with the men until neighbors came to the
rescue. One of the would-be robbers then had his own weapon
used against him and he was duct taped to a utility pole.
Police said that the men will receive formal charges.
