** RECAPS FROM FIRE EATER WIZARD **

On The Metallic Onslaught: When Jeffie arrived, he started out the night
seeming to be pretty much back to his normal (or what passes for normal for
him at least) self. However, in keeping with a common trend of events
lately, that wouldn't last for long. The weirdness started out, (as it so
often seems to in another common trend lately), with the phrase "Lamb Of
God!". At first, whenever Jeffie or anyone else uttered those words, Jeffie
said that it gave him a strange feeling, a sexy feeling that made his butt
and nipples tingle. Now that he mentions it, I know what he's talking about.
*OOO!* What is it with that band?? Well, it's a good feeling! Then Jeffie
said that he had something really important to give to Joe (Dirty!). Joe
said that he didn't want it whatever it was. Jeffie started to bring
whatever it was to Joe, and then started aggressively yelling (guess what),
"Lamb Of God!" repeatedly and becoming violent, he knocked Lance over in his
chair. This lasted for a couple minutes, and then Jeffie seemed to snap out
of it, and, as usual, didn't seem to remember what had happened to him. This
happened again later on, Jeffie once again tried to give Joe whatever he
felt was so important to give him. And, again, Jeffie started yelling "Lamb
Of God!", and getting violent, once again knocking Lance down in his chair.
Once again, he had no memory of this when he came out of it a couple minutes
later. Then Rick conducted a telephone interview with Noah, the lead singer
for the band Bleed The Sky. The band members (I said "members!") were in the
midst of a birthday party for their drummer, so were all very drunk, which
made for an interesting interview. At one point Noah informed us all that
one of his band mates was distracting him by showing him pictures he had
just taken of his vomit in the toilet! We got to hear a track from the
band's CD played. They rock. At the end of the show, Jeffie made one last
attempt to give Joe the important thing he had been trying to give him all
night, and succeeded breifly. For a moment Jeff Joe was there, but it didn't
last long. Apparently Jeffie had done something to a stuffed monkey that
should have turned Joe into Jeff Joe, but whenever HE touched it to give it
to Joe, it turned him into a LAMB OF GOD Zombie. Joe beat him up after
snapping out of it, Then Jeffie grabbed the monkey, and he started becoming
aggressive and yelling "Lamb Of God!" over and over. And, while he was doing
this, he grabbed Lance and carried him away. Lance could be heard yelling
for help. The others were concerned for him, but not overly so, not enough
to go after them and try and help Lance. And so that was the show, And "Lamb
Of God!" got said a few hundred more times, because it gets said so rarely,
you know. :) Tune in this week to find out what happened to Lance, and to
see how long Jeffie's sanity lasts this time...

On The Last Exit For The Lost: Tim from Victory Records was there after
having been away for several months. The band Missing Marcus was on to be
interviewed and to play some of their songs live and acoustic. They're cool.
http://www.missingmarcus.com is their web site. Also there were Mr. Zarumba
of Punch Drunk Monkeys, and Dan-O Vooti of Punch Drunk Monkeys and also of
the band Others. Mr. Zarumba played a couple of acoustic songs he had
recorded as well. Very funny. They were there to promote The Xtreme
Soundscapes DVD: Volume 2 Release Show. The big event will be this Saturday,
June 4th, at Castaways. The show starts at 7:00. It only costs $5. The 1st
100 people through the door will get The Xtreme Soundscapes DVD: Volume 2
for free. And there will be lots of other free stuff, CD compilations, and
all kinds of other cool stuff given away as well. And, of course!, the
music! Never The Sunshine starts off the night, and If Man Is Five, Others,
Elusive Travel, Divinity Destroyed, and Punch Drunk Monkeys complete with
Crappy The Clown! (the Punch Drunk Monkeys and Crappy The Clown concert is a
one time only, and, thus, a once in a lifetime event, as the band is broken
up, and so that alone is something truly not to be missed!) will all be
performing. And Just Joe will have a special roll onstage as well, which,
I'm sure, will also be unforgettable and another thing that all by itself is
not to be missed. This event also marks the 11th anniversary of The Last
Exit For The Lost. So, all of you should be in attendance! Support the
independent music scene, hear and see lots of great music and have a blast!
All the visitors to LE were asked and gave their silly answers to lots of
those crazy questions from theinsanedomain.com At the end of LE, they told
Just Joe that they had a present for him in the basement. Just Joe seemed
pretty ok with going down there to get it. On his way down there, we were
told that it was just an empty box for another joke on Just Joe. However,
when Just Joe came back upstairs, he was once again extremely upset. He was
asked what he was so upset about, it was just an empty box, after all. But
Just Joe said that it had not been empty... Yes, this time Just Joe claimed
to have seen, not a monster, but spiders, lots and lots of spiders,
everywhere. And, apparently, Just Joe does not like spiders. And so that was
how the night ended, with Just Joe extremely upset and yelling about
spiders. This week... The first couple of hours of the show will be
prerecorded as everyone will be at the afore mentioned big The Xtreme
Soundscapes DVD: Volume 2 Release Show, (which, again, you should all be at
as well!). When everyone gets back and the live portion of LE begins,
Elusive Travel and Divinity Destroyed will be along as well. And who knows
who else might come along too. It will be a very busy, cool show, so be sure
and tune in...

Notes from Azkath...

I am tired. I have been burning DVD's all week long. Not to mention all the
other fun stuff I have to get ready for this show, but all is coming
together quite well. The show should be something special. I hope. Anyways,
I think FEW covered everything for the most part. I heard a rumor that
Shoebox may make an appearance somewhere this weekend, but I am sure that is
false. Come to the show Saturday and support the bands and our Xtreme
Soundscapes Project... http://embark.to/xtremesoundscapes

Karyn Crisis launches EXORSISTER T-Shirt line

EXORSISTER is the name Karyn Crisis has chosen for her new line of
women's T- shirts.

Music journalist Alex Johnson tagged Karyn as "the Exorsister" in a
review he wrote of a live Crisis show in an effort to describe her
angelic/demonic vocal style and stage performance. The moniker stuck
in her head, becoming the inspiration behind her T-Shirt line which
features artwork that references female power-symbols. The
EXORSISTER line will be launched with the 1st design of the
series, "Avenging Angel."

EXORSISTER shirts are currently only available at Crisis shows.
Crisis begins touring the U.S. June 9th in Houston, TX. See
http://www.CrisisSite.com/ and http://www.KillithFair.com/ for more
dates.

HIRAX AND LAAZ ROCKIT ADDED TO THRASH AGAINST CANCER SHOW

SAN FRANCISCO - Los Angeles thrash metal veterans HIRAX and the
recently reunited ‘80s Bay Area thrashers Laaz Rockit have been added
to the Thrash Against Cancer benefit, which will be headlined by
Testament, on July 9 at The Pound SF outdoor amphitheatre. Vicious
Rumors, announced last week, will also take part in this historic
gathering of Bay area musicians.

The proceeds from the show will aid in the financial recovery for
families dealing with life-altering medical diagnosis. Among the
families that will benefit from the concert are Keith and Brandy Regan,
whose son, Cole Regan, was born with cancer (leukemia / AML) and
survived up until three months short of his second birthday before
passing away on July 28, 2004. The show will also help other families
who have who have children with pediatric cancer and are in severe need
of help. These families struggle on a daily basis to pay for medicine
and co-pays, not to mention household bills and other expenses, to keep
their hopes and futures at a functioning level while battling to keep
their child alive.

Keith Regan is a long-time fan of thrash metal and approached
Testament’s vocalist Chuck Billy about the possibility of the band
playing a benefit for his family and for other families who have
children with pediatric cancer. Billy brought the Regan’s request to
the attention of Walter Morgan, the organizer of the Thrash Of The
Titans show, and the benefit began to take shape.

“I am so honored to have all these amazing bands from my past step up
and play this show to aid my family,” said Keith Regan. “The Bay Area
has been my home all my life and to have this opportunity for fans to
see this show in our home town is awesome.”

Although HIRAX is from Los Angeles, the band considers the Bay area
their second home.

HIRAX has played there many times since 1984, sharing the stage with
Slayer, Exodus, DRI, Dark Angel, and Cryptic Slaughter just to mention
a few. These bands helped to create the thrash metal scene and were
instrumental in the genre’s worldwide popularity.
“HIRAX is honored to be a part of this benefit,” said vocalist Katon W.
De Pena. “When we were asked to play this show, we did not hesitate to
join forces with our brothers and sisters from the Bay area. This
benefit will prove that the heavy metal community cares about the fans
more than anything.”
HIRAX’s 2004 recording, “The New Age Of Terror,” will be released in
the US this summer on Deep Six Records, and singer Katon W. De Pena’s
label, Black Devil Records, will also release “Not Dead Yet,” a CD
consisting of the band’s first two classic records “Raging Violence”
and “Hate, Fear And Power.”

Laaz Rocket, formed in 1982, were a mainstay in the Bay area thrash
scene for 9 years. Earlier this month, the original lineup reunited for
the first time since 1991 to play 2 shows with Testament, including the
prestigious Dynamo Festival in Holland. Their appearance at the Thrash
Against Cancer benefit will be their first US show in over 14 years.

“We’re excited and honored to be a part of this show to help out such a
worthy cause,” said guitarist Aaron Jellum. “It will be interesting to
see all the old friends and fans again from the Bay area.”

Tickets for the Thrash Against Cancer benefit will go on sale
Wednesday, June 1. The Pound amphitheater is located at 100 Cargo Way-
Pier 96 (3rd St). This is an all ages event (21 years old w/ID to
drink). Tickets are $40.00 in advance and will be available at
www.ticketfusion.com and The Pound SF’s box office (415-826-5009).
