** RECAPS FROM FIRE EATER WIZARD **
FEW was unable to hear The Metallic Onslaught last week because the internet
feed for it was down. The basic recap goes something like this, Jeffie
remade the formulae he had that he was using to try and turn Joe into Jeff
Joe, which turned everyone else into a super strong Lamb of God zombie, and
attempted to get just the super strength elements from it. He took one on
the air and passed out. By the next break he had revived and was Thor, God
of Lamb of God, or something to that effect. He did jumping jacks, killed
Lance, revived Lance, threw Rick threw a wall, hugged Joe and broke his
nipples, went to the store and bought Joe new vibrating nipples, which Joe
was not happy about, and in the end, carried Joe off to the store to pick
out the nipples he wanted... It was an odd night...
And now the LE Recap from FEW...
On The Last Exit For The Lost: The show began shortly after The Xtreme
Soundscapes Volume 2 DVD Post Release Show at The Haunt (which I hope all of
you in the area attended, and, if you didn't, you should have!), and four
bands were represented on LE that night. Well, five, if you want to count
Just Joe as representing The Squirtin' Chubbies. Crow, drummer for The
Pushrods, (and Just Joe's dad according to Joe), :) was there, and updated
us on what The Pushrods have been, and will be, up to. The band Ranzatsu
(formerly Clutter) were on first. They were interviewed and played one of
their songs live and acoustic. They have a show this Saturday (June 18th) at
The Cortland Youth Center with one other local band. Up next were the band
Future 86 (formerly Pretty Suicide). They were interviewed, and played
several of their songs live and acoustic (with their drummer performing on a
empty water bottle). And then, last but certainly not least, were the band
inRed. They were interviewed, and played a live extended half hour set, and
Mike from Pyramid Sound Studios brought along for them more digital
equipment then the LE studio has ever had in it before. So, it was a show
showcasing lots of cool bands with lots of cool music performed live on air.
Just Joe got a couple of beat downs for being obnoxious and annoying, as
usual. The final hour of the show we got to hear the recording of the
performances of the bands If Man Is Five, and Divinity Destroyed, from the
big Xtreme Soundscapes Volume 2 DVD Release Show, at Castaways, the week
before, played back in their entirety. It sounded great (as I'm sure all of
you who were lucky enough to be there know!), and was a treat to hear! This
week... Ranzatsu may be back on, as well as another band. And you never know
who else, or what else, may transpire. Tune in and hear...
************************************************************
Notes from Azkath...
Seems like The Last Exit this week will consist of Full Circle
(www.fullcirc.net), most likely Ranzatsu again (www.myspace.com/RANZATSU),
AND If Man is Five (www.blackazul.com/ifmanisfive). Other than that, who
knows what else may occur...
Metallic Onslaught? No idea, although Jeffie did steal one of our big items
from here earlier today... It can not go well with what it is...

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 3, 2005
STEVE ZETRO SOUZA TO EMCEE THRASH AGAINST CANCER BENEFIT;
DEATH ANGEL GUITARIST TED AGUILAR'S SIDE PROJECT,
MUDFACE, ADDED TO BILL
SAN FRANCISCO- Steve Zetro Souza, ex-vocalist for Bay area thrash
bands Legacy and Exodus, will emcee the Thrash Against Cancer benefit,
on Friday, July 9, at The Pound SF outdoor amphitheatre. Headliners
Testament will be joined by HIRAX, Laaz Rockit, and Vicious Rumors.
It's great to help out these families because I have children of my
own and I would hate to see one of them lost to this dreadful disease, said
Souza. I'm sure everybody at some time in their lives has lost
someone to cancer and they know how devastating it is.
Souza had the privilege of singing for two of the most influential
bands in the Bay area. He originally sang for Legacy, later renamed
Testament, from 1983 to 1986. He left to join the now-legendary thrash
band, Exodus, for whom he sang with until 1992. Souza rejoined Exodus
in 2003 and the band recorded their first album in 11 years, the
critically acclaimed Tempo Of The Damned, which was voted Best Metal
Album last year by the readers of Metal Maniacs.
The Bay area metal scene is my home, said Souza. It's what made me
what I am and who I am. Our scene is famous all over the world for the
thrash bands it has produced and I'm proud to be a part of that
history.
Mudface, formally SIFT, the side project featuring Death Angel
guitarist Ted Aguilar, has been added to the Thrash Against Cancer
benefit. This will be the band's first show for new members, guitarist
Rich Pia and bassist Nila, as well as their first performance under the
name Mudface.
It feels great to play on the same stage with bands that I grew up
listening to and still listen to now,? said guitarist Ted Aguilar.
I'm excited and everyone involved is excited; not only to play music
with great friends, but to play music for a good cause.
Mudface's current lineup is: Chris Dinsmore (vocals), Ted Aguilar
(guitar), Rich Pia (guitar), Nila (bass), and Danny Stevenson (drums). The
band
recently reformed from a two-year hiatus due to the members duties
with their main bands.
Mudface is basically a side project for all of us since we all have
our priority bands, said Aguilar. We all share the same thing. We
love to play HEAVY music.
The proceeds from the Thrash Against Cancer benefit will aid in the
financial recovery for families dealing with life-altering medical
diagnosis. Among the families that will benefit from the concert are
Keith and Brandy Regan, whose son, Cole Regan, was born with cancer
(leukemia / AML) and survived up until three months short of his second
birthday before passing away on July 28, 2004. The show will also help
other families who have who have children with pediatric cancer and are
in severe need of help.
Tickets for the Thrash Against Cancer benefit are on sale now. The
Pound amphitheater is located at 100 Cargo Way- Pier 96 (3rd St). This
is an all ages event (21 years old w/ID to drink). Tickets are $40.00
in advance and are available through Ticketfusion.com and at The Pound
SF's box office (415-826-5009) as well as www.poundsf.com

NOCTURNE UPDATE - June 16, 2005
Hey Everyone,
So, as many of you know, I recently moved out to Los Angeles from Texas.
Last Sunday, at about 8:00 a.m., I was startled awake by an earthquake that
measured at 5.2 and occurred about 120 miles southeast of L.A. Then, today,
we were hit with a second earthquake that had a magnitude of 4.9, which took
place 100 miles east of L.A.! Christ! This has been my first earthquake
experience ever, given the fact that in Texas, the ground has a tendency to
stay STILL! But two earthquakes in one week has everyone's nerves a little
rattled here. Hopefully we'll stay attached to the continent....
A NEW NOCTURNE WEB SITE:
In other news, we recently re-did the website again. Lyle is our new web
designer (he has an awesome Dallas based band called "Maltoro" -
www.maltoro.com - who opened for Pigface and Nocturne in Dallas and were
very well received...he also had the band "Ghoultown") - anyway, he did an
amazing job on the new Nocturne site, so please check it out!
http://www.nocturne.cc
TOUR UPDATE, and MORE!
On the new web site, we have posted the new TOUR DATES (so far), for the
upcoming tour with MUSHROOMHEAD, DOPE, and NOCTURNE. You'll also find a new
biography for Nocturne, new sound clips for the AUDIO section (just added:
"I Lie" - for those of you who haven't heard the new CD yet), so again, go
check out the new site!
NOCTURNE CDS and T-SHIRTS!
Also, our MERCHANDISE page on the web site has been updated. If you haven't
picked up a copy of the new Nocturne CD yet, "Guide To Extinction", then
please order it off our site! Also, we have T-SHIRTS up on the site now, in
case you didn't have the cash to buy one at one of the shows, but do now.
We were back-logged with orders in the last few weeks, but now we are all
caught up. So there is now only a FOUR DAY turn-around (not counting
Sunday), so if you order a CD or T-shirt today, you'll receive it by the
middle of next week!
MESSAGE BOARD!
And lastly, go check out the message board, if you haven't done so already.
We have added a few new topics, such as discussions relating to human rights
as well as environmental issues. I haven't been on there in a while myself,
but I just went on last night and answered a ton of posts, and I'll be
visiting frequently over the next few weeks as well. :-) Some come join
us!
Message board: http://www.nocturne.cc/forum/index.php
Thanks everyone!
Cheers,
- Lacey
