** RECAPS FROM FIRE EATER WIZARD **

On The Metallic Onslaught: Jeffie arrived and, shortly thereafter, got into
a brawl with Lance and Rick. Rick broke a record over Jeffie's head in
retaliation for Jeffie having almost shoved him through a wall the week
before. Jeffie said that he was going to take the pill that would make him
strong so that they wouldn't be able to beat him down any more. Jeffie took
his pill... And became Thor, again, this time wielding a giant hammer. He
made a couple holes in the floor with the giant hammer. Jeffie/Thor said he
had something for Joe. Joe said he didn't want it. Jeffie/Thor forced
something into Joe's mouth. No, that's not the way I'm sure your dirty minds
are interpreting it! :) It was a pill of some kind or something... Joe
became Ian The Viking (not the Yeti). At first, Ian did not like
Jeffie/Thor, and wanted to fight with him. But then Jeffie/Thor played a
Manowar song... Ian said that that was the best song ever. Jeffie/Thor
totally concurred, and said that he had an even better song, which he then
sang. Ian said it was the most beautiful thing he had ever heard and so then
Jeffie/Thor and Ian The Viking became best viking buddies to the dismay of
everyone else there. The show ended with Jeffie/Thor and Ian The Viking,
along with their giant hammer, saying that they were off on a spree to do
lots of raping, plundering and pillaging... And that was the show. Tune in
again this week and see what other craziness may ensue...

On The Last Exit For The Lost: It was another very full house (and that's
not meant to be a Poker reference, nor a reference to a lame 80's sitcom).
:) Ranzatsu was back on. And so was If Man Is Five. But this time it was
the entire lineup of If Man Is Five... Angela (the vocalist with the
incredibly powerful voice) and Brianna (the guitarist) have both been on
many times, but this time, along with them, Evan (the drummer), and Kate,
(their new bass player) were there as well. They Played many of their songs
live and acoustic. Just Joe successfully completed, not one, but two
challenges. His first challenge was to build a bridge out of all the members
of the two bands present. He accomplished this... Then one of the CD players
was misbehaving, refusing to play any music. Azkath told Just Joe that his
next challenge was to see if he could withstand having the CD player placed
on his chest, and then having Azkath give the CD player three mighty blows
(heheh heh, heh heh, I said blow!) with Thors giant hammer (obviously stolen
from Thor and Ian). Just Joe was successful in this as well, so he got to
pick a song to be played. He chose a Black Sabbath song featuring Dio. As he
had done with If Man Is Five's previous bass player, Just Joe took their new
one, Kate, to the basement as well as Evan. And there were quite a few acts
of violence involving everyone as usual. And that was LE for that week. I
hope all of you attended The Xtreme Soundscapes Volume 2 show featuring
Crisis, MOD, Jacknife and Bone Jar this past Wednesday. Support local and
independent music, and these shows are a great way to do so, while having a
great time in the process! You can't beat that! And tune in to LE this
week... The bands Missing Marcus and Merit should hopefully be on after
their concert Saturday Night, and who knows what and who else, but it's
bound to be crazy, so tune in...

*************************************************************************
Notes from Azkath...

On The Metallic Onslaught, earlier in the night, say around 10pm, they will
be reairing the interview with Bleed the Sky that Rick did very late in the
show a few weeks back. I expect Jeffie/Thor will be there, and maybe there
will be a special guest, as well, as, I suppose, Ian the Viking? We will
see... Or hear...

On The Last Exit for the Lost, we should, almost definitely this week, have
some of Full Circle (www.fullcirc.net) up to the studio. Also, we should
have Merit (www.myspace.com/merit) up playing acoustic after their show at
The Nines. We are also trying to get Missing Marcus (www.missingmarcus.com)
to come see us when they are done at the Nines as well.

He asked, "Lord, what about when there was
only one set of footprints and also a
straight line with bootprints on one side
and small, round circles on the other?"
The Lord replied, "Those were the times
that I carried you, and we were joined
by a pirate pushing a wheelbarrow."

WORM QUARTET UPDATE AND BLATANT PLUG - 6/20/05

Hey people! It's been far too long since my last update,
so here I am again, dammit!!

WORM QUARTET GUEST APPEARANCE ON A PODCAST THINGY NEWS
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Some of you are hopefully aware that Tom Rockwell a.k.a.
Devo Spice of the often-one-man comedy rap group known
as "Sudden Death" has a Podcast show every Monday called
"Manic Mondays." Well, Tom was doing something stupid
this past weekend, and thus a certain bemulleted comedy-
synth-punk supastar is hosting this week's episode,
playing a bunch of goofy-ass punky stuff.

You can listen to it here:
http://www.suddendeath.org/cast/manicmondays0013.mp3

Or if you an iPod client of some sort, you can point it
here to subscribe:
http://www.suddendeath.org/cast/feed.xml

And speaking of Sudden Death...

"INNER VOICE" STILL KICKING UNHOLY ASS ON DR. DEMENTO NEWS
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
After a long run and subsequent disappearence, "Inner Voice,"
my collaboration with the aforementioned Sudden Death,
has returned to the #1 spot on Dr. Demento's "Funny Five"
this week! Thanks buttloads to all of you guys who
requested it...it's definitely in the running for the most
requested song of the year!

Wanna hear it again? Why not go forth to www.drdemento.com
and click on "Request a Song?"

It's finally available on CD now as well...Sudden Death's
new CD "Die Laughing" entered reality this past week, and
you can pick it up from http://www.suddendeath.org

And you can hear a streaming mp3 by going forth to
http://www.wormquartet.com and clicking on "music," but
hopefully you already knew that.

And speaking of mp3s...

SUMOPHOBIA 2 SNEAK PREVIEWS NEWS
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Two mp3s of songs from the upcoming remixed re-release
of Worm Quartet's first full-length CD, "Sumophobia,"
are now available at wormquartet.com! One is a new
recording of "Hair On The Soap" and the other is a
recently-recorded cover of Tony Goldmark's "I Know You're
A Fish" which will be one of the many bonus tracks on the
CD (the original version appears on Tony's first album,
"You Bug Me," which he recorded when he was 13.) It's
the first song I've ever recorded which includes the
word "Potty." Check it out, it seems to rock for some
reason.

For those of you who haven't been paying attention,
this is gonna be a remixed, remastered, and in some cases
re-recorded version of "Sumophobia," and will include
the tracks from WQ's 1996 demo "Urine Sampler" and a
whole elkload of somewhat nifty bonus tracks including
collaborations with The Great Luke Ski and Sudden Death.
It'll also include nine inches of string and a pony!

The album will hopefully exist later this summer. And
speaking of things that will hopefuly exist...

WORM QUARTET / PLAN 15 SPLIT 7" NEWS
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Worm Quartet's foray into the world of Vinyl is still
gonna happen, dammit! The songs are mixed, the cover
art's done. I need to throw together some liner notes,
get the songs to Doug @ Watchmen Studios to get 'em
mastered, and get 'em to Blankmind Records so they can
start existing.

This thing's gonna have four new WQ songs (one Plan 15
cover and three originals, including the long-awaited
studio recording of "What Your Parents Think All Your
Music Sounds Like,") and four new Plan 15 songs
(one WQ cover and three originals.) I know it's taken
forever for this thing to come out, and I can't promise
it'll be worth the wait, but dammit, you'll buy it
anyway because you can't live without new Worm Quartet.

And speaking of procrastination...

WORM QUARTET DOESN'T HAVE ANY SHOWS SCHEDULED NEWS
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Due to the fact that I have an 8-month-old son, I've
been totally lax in the show-booking department lately,
so I have absolutely nothing booked right now!

If you're a show-booking-type-person and want Worm
Quartet to rock your thing, drop a note here:
book-a-freak@...

And speaking of...um...things...

ODOR NEWS
=-=-=-=-=
For some inexplicable reason, I smell like an eggbeater.
Not a used eggbeater, mind you...a brand new eggbeater,
still in the package, with one of those shoplift-proofing
little metal strip things attached.

Okay, I'm lying...I smell like the semi-digested remnants
of Gerber Pineapple Ham stuff that's adhered to my shirt.

Well, that's about as much as I can type one-handed with
a small person on my lap constantly reaching for the
keyboard and trying to xb cvx cv b h ce g y vybjk jm,m
jhvm mnkl ,,./ m,.46 cvcv byhbh bvb nbmn

Thanks as always for your support of my stupid crap!

And so Phillip learned two lessons that day:
piranhas don't like donuts, and even if they did,
you'd be better off putting them on a stick of some
sort so you can still father children afterward.
