On The Metallic Onslaught:

On this night, we would have both Thor and Jeffie, both present for the
whole time after they arrived. They both deeply apologized for Pepe. It
seems they were both deeply traumatized over spending two weeks sharing
their collective body with Pepe. They said that neither of them was
responsible for all the awful things they said Pepe had done and all the
damage he had caused during that time. They both agreed that it had been
horrible, and so now, consequently, they had agreed to call a truce with
each other so that together they could block Pepe and prevent him from ever
coming back. And so, that meant that now they were both there. They kept
getting into dialogs with each other, one would say something, and the other
would respond to it, or one would ask a question, and the other would answer
it. Jeffie said that, if anyone attacked him, he would let Thor take over,
as Thor is a better fighter than he is, which Jeffie couldn't understand why
this should be, but admitted that it was, or at least for now, Jeffie
claimed that he is going to get stronger, work out or something. But, for
now, Thor would be in charge of fighting. Jeffie also said that, his name
would now be Jeffie Jefferson. Mr. Jeff Jefferson... Jefferson (those of you
who follow professional wrestling will get that and know why I said the last
name twice, that was not a typo. If you don't get it, watch The WWE's
Smackdown, and you will). Thor/Jeffie got into some brawls with Joe and
Lance. And that was the show for that night...

On The Last Exit For The Lost:

Present for this show were: Just Joe, Gorgar, Crow (drummer for The
Pushrods), returning after having been absent for some time, and Vick Tiff.
Vick Tiff is a stand up comedian, who will be performing at Musefest this
upcoming Labor Day weekend. incidentally, The Pushrods will also be
performing there, along with many other bands from lots of different genres
of independent music. http://www.musefest.org is the web site to go to to
get all the information on this festival. The comedian was there to talk
about Musefest, and to be interviewed. He also did some stand up, and was
asked and answered those insanedomain.com questions. Later, Azkath told Just
Joe to go out in the hall because there were girls there. While he was gone,
Azkath produced Just Joe's shiny rock and showed it to Gorgar and Crow. They
had lied to Just Joe when they told him that they had hidden it in the
creek, hence why Just Joe had never been able to find it there. When Just
Joe got back in the room, (saying that there had been no girls in the
hallway), they started passing the shiny back and forth amongst themselves.
Just Joe didn't notice this, so finally, they showed him that they had it.
Just Joe tried to get it, and they kept passing it back and forth amongst
the three of them. After that had gone on for awhile, Azkath tossed the
shiny into the basement. Just Joe ran down there after it, and they locked
the door behind him. In a bit, Just Joe telephoned upstairs to chat. He now
had his shiny, and wanted to be let out of the basement. After awhile, they
sent Gorgar down there to attend to him. Gorgar bound Just Joe to a chair
with lots of Scotch tape, and also taped his mouth shut. They had once again
taken his shiny away from him, and began passing it around amongst
themselves again. Crow took the shiny and rubbed it on his butt, speaking to
it in porn style tones. They made various threats against the shiny. Just
Joe tried frantically to get free and get at them and to his shiny, but was
unsuccessful. Just Joe tried to kick Gorgar, and Gorgar told him that that
had been a big mistake, that he would pay for that, and that he would really
never get his shiny back now. They suggested to Gorgar that he roll the
chair, with Just Joe still gagged and bound to it, out into the road. And,
at the end of the last talk break, it looked like Gorgar was preparing to do
just that... In the last portion of the show, the band Bee Eater's
performance at The Xtreme Soundscapes presented show, on August
18th, was played back in it's entirety. They were cool, and the recording
sounded great. Tune in this week to hear whatever may go on...

137 should be present on The Metallic Onslaught this week. I believe they
now have their new CD done. They will tell us all about it I would assume.
Other than that, I guess we can assume Thor/Jeffie will be there...

Angels Beneath Me will be on The Last Exit this week. They may have some
cool news to share with us, and they may help us sticker up Just Joe and
send him into College Town... And in Tribute to the passing of Denis "Piggy"
D'Amour of VoiVod, VoiVod will be our feature artist at 5am this week.

And I can finally announce that the Xtreme Soundscapes Vol III DVD Release
Show will be October 15th, at The Haunt, and should feature Angels Beneath
Me, A Day Without Rain, inRed, Divinity Destroyed, and Bone Jar. Should be
an awesome time. And, yes, that means the new DVD will be done by then, too.

Voivod guitarist Denis "Piggy" D'Amour passes away.

VOIVOD guitarist Denis "Piggy" D'Amour passed away Friday night (August 26)
at approximately 11:45 p.m. due to complications from advanced colon
cancer ­ so advanced that the disease had spread to his liver. D'Amour
slipped into a coma Thursday night and died less than 24 hours later in the
palliative care unit of a Montreal hospital, surrounded by family and
friends. He was 45 years old.

Quebec City newspaper Le Soleil reported yesterday that D'Amour ­ who was
diagnosed with colon cancer earlier in the summer ­ first entered the
hospital for a routine operation, but several complications led his doctors
to suspect more problems. Then the grim verdict was revealed: the cancer,
already too advanced, was inoperable.

Only two months ago, D'Amour was in the studio working on the 14th album
from the Canadian thrash-metal pioneers VOIVOD. More than two dozen tracks
are believed to have been demoed for the CD, for which the group recently
inked a deal with The End Records. However, the band were forced to put
studio work on hold while bassist Jason Newsted (ex-METALLICA) was treated
for tendonitis.

In a recent interview with Billboard.com, Newsted spoke about the material
slated to appear on the group's next CD. "It's the most complete demos I've
ever been involved in," he said. "[VOIVOD singer] Snake has already chosen
his effects ­ exact timing of milliseconds for delay. We've had a long time
to develop the demos, so there's about 23 or 25 songs that are absolutely
listenable right now."

Newsted was a huge fan of VOIVOD before he was invited to join and he
remains a great admirer to this day. "They created something a long, long
time ago that may have been emulated many, many times since ­ but nobody can
do it like the original," he offered.

Prior to his hospitalization, D'Amour laid down guitar tracks for a reunion
CD from the legendary AUT'CHOSE, a '70s band from Montreal. That album is
expected to surface next summer.

If President Bush and Kansas public schools believe intelligent design
should be taught alongside evolution in classrooms, Bobby Henderson says it
is only fair to include his deity du jour.

Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Henderson, a 25-year-old with a physics degree from Oregon State University,
saw a vision of a tangle of spaghetti noodles with two eyestalks and an
affinity for worshipers wearing pirate garb. He believes his god is as valid
as the one alluded to in intelligent design, a theory which contends some
features of the natural world are just too special to be due to evolutionary
roulette.

Kansas State Board of Education members approved a draft proposal Aug.
9 to include intelligent design in science lessons and are scheduled to vote
again in October on a teaching plan.

Henderson posted his views, and artwork, at www.venganza.org about two
months ago. Below is a selection excerpted from the letter Henderson wrote
seeking equal time for his deity in Kansas.

Open Letter to Kansas School Board

I am writing you with much concern after having read of your hearing to
decide whether the alternative theory of Intelligent Design should be taught
along with the theory of Evolution. I think we can all agree that it is
important for students to hear multiple viewpoints. ... I am concerned,
however, that students will hear only one theory of Intelligent Design.

... I and many others around the world are of the strong belief that the
universe was created by a Flying Spaghetti Monster. It was He who created
all that we see and all that we feel. We feel strongly that the overwhelming
scientific evidence pointing towards evolutionary processes is nothing but a
coincidence, put in place by Him.

... None of us, of course, were around to see it, but we have written
accounts of it. We have several lengthy volumes explaining all details of
His power. ... He built the world to make us think the earth is older than
it really is. ... But what our scientist does not realize is that every time
he makes a measurement, the Flying Spaghetti Monster is there changing the
results with His Noodly Appendage. ... He is of course invisible and can
pass through normal matter with ease.

I'm sure you now realize how important it is that your students are taught
this alternate theory. It is absolutely imperative that they realize that
observable evidence is at the discretion of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
Furthermore, it is disrespectful to teach our beliefs without wearing His
chosen outfit, which of course is full pirate regalia. ... You may be
interested to know that global warming, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other
natural disasters are a direct effect of the shrinking numbers of Pirates
since the 1800s.

... I am eagerly awaiting your response, and hope dearly that no legal
action will need to be taken. I think we can all look forward to the time
when these three theories are given equal time in our science classrooms
across the country, and eventually the world: One third time for Intelligent
Design, one third time for Flying Spaghetti Monsterism, and one third time
for logical conjecture based on overwhelming observable evidence.
