** Recaps from Fire Eater Wizard **

On The Metallic Onslaught:

It was, once again, a much more subdued, peaceful, calm Friday night on
WEOS, as The Metallic Onslaught was off again due to the holidays, but they
are over now, so be sure to tune in Friday January 6th, when it returns
with, among other things, each of the gang's top five picks of the best
music of 2005...

On The Last Exit For The Lost:

As LE was attending the big Punch Drunk Monkeys's concert (also featuring
If Man Is Five, and Nancy), it was a very rare pre recorded Last Exit. It
began at the stroke of the New Year, and was a Demon's Pick Show. Which
meant that the host, The Demon Azkath, put together a show of all of his
favorite music that he enjoyed and thought we should be aware of. That was
an interesting and fun show. And join The Last Exit For The Lost when it
returns live this week to begin a new year of metal, chaos, and insanity...

Notes from Azkath...

And here we are again. I so don't care about the New Year non-sense. Why is
it required to wish everyone a happy New Years? I fail to comprehend? It's a
calendar date that means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Freaking pointless human
rituals. Anyways, this week, stuff will happen on the radio shows. Surely.
As always. Maybe that whole Lance mystery will pan out, eh? How can there
be more than one Lance anyways?

Pics from concerts from the last two weeks can be found at:
http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?username=azkath

That would be pics of Sulaco, If Man is Five, and Punch Drunk Monkeys. See
what you missed if you were not there :)

WORM QUARTET UPDATE AND BLATANT PLUG - 1/2/06

Hey, happy new year or something, dammit!

It's official:

FUNNIEST WEENIES IN THE WHOLE DAMNED WORLD NEWS
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
This past weekend, Dr. Demento's yearly "Funny 25" show aired,
and "Inner Voice," the song I co-wrote and performed with my
fellow bemulleted comedy-musician-slash-computer-geek-slash-
father Devo Spice of Sudden Death, is officially the most
requested song of the year! I'm honored as hell to have my
name on top of the countdown for the second year in a row.
This kicks ass more than broccolli, and I mean GOOD broccolli.

Buttloads of thanks to Sudden Death for contacting my lame
ass to collaborate with on this song. Writing the rambling
rants for the choruses of this song gave me a chance to come up
with some really stupid new ideas, as well as go through my
old notebooks and extract some great one-liners from failed song
attempts that otherwise would never have seen the light of day
in any form (I'm particularly glad I finally got to use that
"magnet" line!) Enjoy your newfound fame, Mr. Spice, and never
forget that I am the sole reason for it and can take it away
from you at my whim. You are MINE now. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
(Yeah, I know, "Spam" hit the funny 25 too and I had nothing to
do with that one, but...um...SHUT UP!)

Deep nods of sincere appreciation also go to the Doctor himself,
of course, as well as the other people who made the funny 25 so
damned fantastic this year. I squirm uncomfortably when I
consider that we actually somehow beat out new songs by such
talented people as Barnes & Barnes (welcome back,) The Frantics
(ditto,) Henry Phillips, Power Salad, The Great Luke Ski, Paul
and Storm, and the other people who either aren't important
enough for me to remember or who I subconsciously despise for
being better than me.

And spleenloads of thanks to the apparent multitudes of people
who loved this song enough to request it for so many weeks! You
guys continue to rule...I wish I could give each of you a free
sculture of Danny Devito's urethra made entirely of moth earwax.

Those of you who don't own this song yet should go out
immediately and purchase a copy of Sudden Death's new CD "Die
Laughing." Or even better, don't go out, since it's not actually
available in most stores but can very easily be ordered online
from http://www.suddendeath.org

And for those of you who have been bitching that you don't get
Dr. Demento in your area, I have seriously good news:

DR. DEMENTO ONLINE STREAMING NEWS
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
*FINALLY* there's an easy way to listen to the Dr. Demento show
on your very own friggin' computer!! The Dr. Demento official
website ( http://www.drdemento.com ) now has streams of several
shows available online, and you can listen for a measly $2.00 a
show! This is a long time coming, and I sincerely hope that
enough people will partake of them to keep 'em around!

The "Funny 25" show will no doubt be up soon!

LAUGHING HELPS HURRICANE VICTIMS NEWS
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
The Hurricane Katrina relief benefit comp, "Laughter Is A
Powerful Weapon, Vol. 2," is finally available for online
order!

The CD contains a whopping 27 tracks, including a brand-
spankin'-new Worm Quartet song, a Weird Al rarity, a
new one by Barnes & Barnes (!!!), plus songs from The Great
Luke Ski, Sudden Death, Eric Coleman, Hot Waffles, Raymond
and Scum, Power Salad, Henry Phillips, and more! It's a
kickass CD with the funds going to a great cause.

You can order your very own copy right here:

ROCKING IN YOUR FACE NEWS
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
I don't have any shows scheduled 'til March at the moment,
so if anyone's looking to book WQ, drop an e-mail to
shoebox@... and lemme know!

ODOR NEWS
=-=-=-=-=
I just brushed my teeth with the Spider-Man electric
toothbrush I got for Christmas! It's an odd thing with a
little rubber Spidey perched on a gray gargoyle, and is
without a doubt the oddest-looking thing I've ever put in
my mouth for cleansing purposes. Anyway, the end result is
that my breath smells Spidey-fresh!

And we're back to everyone's favorite part of the update,
the part where I shut up! I hope you all had a bitchin'
New Year and a keenoriffic Christmas or Ramadan or Kwanzaa
or Channukah or whatever you heathens celebrate. Thanks
as always for supporting my inane musical whatnot!

Spackletasticness abounds.
