On The Metallic Onslaught

No recap from FEW on this one this week, so I, Azkath, will do my best... Um,
Thor was confused by all the voices that Josh kept using, and being that he is a
Viking and tries to kill that which he does not understand, he tried to kill
Josh. A lot. Josh stopped talking in voices. Actually, I think that is all I
remember...

On The Last Exit For The Lost:

This show fell on the last day of 2006, kind of a New Year's Eve Day
Show, and the last one of those before 2012, so it is kind of a special
event. To celebrate this, LE played a lot of local, regional,
independent, and / or unsigned, or at least not signed to major labels,
music. LE always does that, brings you awesome, rockin',
out-of-the-mainstream music, that you will never hear from the evil
corporate media, but on this night, the show was mostly devoted to that,
plus, of course, as always, listener requests, LE always does right by
it's listeners. Present for this New Year's Eve Day Local / independent
music commemorating Show were: Just Joe, EVD, Gorgar, Tim, now with
Century Media Records. A sound was heard outside. Just Joe was sent out
to determine what had made it. He came back, saying that it had been a
meteor, that he had touched it, and that it had given him super powers.
He was now going to demonstrate those super powers by flying... And the
next thing you know, Just Joe could be heard falling down the stairs.
However, he insisted that, right before he had done that, he had flown,
for a second... At the next talk break, Just Joe was lying out on the
lawn... And this was because he had "Flown" off the roof. And, while he
was out there, a spider bit him, so he thought he now had double the
super powers because of this. He demonstrated this for us, by climbing
the wall, which is a real switch, because he usually makes everyone else
around him climb the walls. Even though he promptly fell to the floor,
nearly knocking himself out again, he insisted that he had climbed the
wall, due to his super powers. They asked him what else he could do with
his super powers, could he lift this really really heavy piece of
equipment? He said of course he could, he was Super Joe now, after all.
Azkath and Just Joe both lifted it, but, as soon as Azkath let go, Just
Joe fell to the floor with the extremely heavy piece of equipment on top
of his chest. But he insisted that he didn't need any help, that he
could lift it off himself, because he was Super Joe, and he had lifted
and held it up, hadn't he!? So of course he didn't need any help now
lifting it off his chest! When he was free, he insisted that his ribs
were fine, that they absolutely were not protruding from his skin and
powdered bone, and that it absolutely did not hurt to touch them,
because he was Super Joe. They asked Super Joe if he thought he could
jump over a car. He said he was sure he could, he was Super Joe, after
all. So they had Super Joe and EVD go outside, where Super Joe would
jump over EVD's car. And, he did, however, EVD started up the car, and
was driving it while this took place, and then, backed over Super Joe,
after he had, yet again, fallen to the ground. "Accidentally" backed
over him, of course!, EVD just felt terrible about that, as he is such a
gentle guy. Gorgar arrived. Tim left, getting a Super Hug from Super Joe
right before he did. They wondered what else they could have Super Joe
do to prove his powers. Azkath decided that he would beat the crap out
of Super Joe. They brawled. Azkath had a trash can, he was using as a
weapon. Next thing you know, Azkath was knocked out on the floor. Super
Joe took over the board and played a set of music which included that
band on the MO / LE Wall Of Fame for most often said, both on air, and
in the chat room, band name, My Penis. Luckily, though, it did not
include any Dave Mathews Band, or Triumph. When Azkath came to, there
was some dispute as to how he had actually come to be knocked out...
Super Joe claimed that he had beaten him down with his super powers, but
Azkath claimed that he had been beating the crap out of Super Joe, and
then had tripped over the trash can he had been using to help do this,
had struck his head right on the corner of it, and that's what had put
him out of commission for a few minutes. He was upset with them for
letting Super Joe run the board. Super Joe claimed that they had been
afraid to try and stop him, because he would have put them down with his
super powers, just as he had dispatched Azkath. They told Super Joe to
work on developing his new super powers even further during the week,
and they would test them again next week. I think it would be cool if we
could get Super Joe together with Arthur Beezbottom, when Arthur was
blind, and thought he had Dare Devil's super powers, and kept trying to
use them, and kept breaking things, and hurting himself. Now THERE would
be a Super Dynamic Duo! The Feature Artist for this final New Year's Eve
Day Local / Regional / independent / not signed to big labels Music
Commemorating Special Show was The Punch Drunk Monkeys Show (one of
their many Last Shows Ever) from last New Year's Eve / Day, which was
the reason that, on that night, a year ago, LE was an entirely recorded
show, which had only happened one other time, because they were
attending that show. That rocked, sounded great, and was fun to hear.
And so thus went The Special New Year's Eve Day Local / Regional /
Independent / Non Corporate Label Music Celebrating LE. And thus also
concluded another year of awesome, rockin' shows. And now, next week, we
begin another year of what will be, doubtless, even better, more
awesome, more rockin' shows! Don't miss any of them this coming year!
Next week... I guess we shall see what has happened with Super Joe's
powers, and what wondrous new things he can demonstrate for us using
them... I'm sure we'll all be utterly amazed by them! So tune in for
that, and for whatever else goes on, and for whoever else shows up...
And happy New Year, Everyone... May the New Year bring good things to
you, whatever you would consider to be a good thing for you, may you
receive it / them this year... Because, after all, there aren't many
years left for it / them to come to you, now are there? And on that
note, once again, happy New Year, everyone! :)
