On The Metallic Onslaught:
There were: Joe, Rick, Lancer, And Josh, which meant of course that
there were about five hundred more people there, all courtesy of Josh,
including Juan, who only speaks Spanish, and needs to have an
interpreter, Josh, an interpreter for one of his own many multiple
personalities. Joe, Rick, Lancer, and Josh all gave their top five picks
for the best songs of 2006. Although, Lancer's picks had been given to
him by Lance, The Glamboy, as, if Lancer had been allowed to give his
top five, it would have consisted of all country music artists, and you
REALLY wouldn't have wanted to hear Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, and Vince
Gill, now would you!? If so, you're listening to THE WRONG show! And,
only Josh got to give a top five, his other personalities did not get to
give their votes, as that would have meant a show that still would have
been going on next Friday night at nine P.M., and would have been FAR,
FAR, FAR, FAR from completion. Plus, it would have included stuff like
Spanish Mariachi music, Irish, Gaelic stuff, and who knows what other
world music. Rick's top pick was "Lamb Of God" *OOOO TINGLE!!!!* because
obviously he was very ill that night, and was delusional, and therefore
was under the impression that he likes that band, as that is the only
explanation for such a thing ever occurring! Feel better real soon,
Rick! And so thus went the first Metallic Onslaught of 2007, the rockin'
(though not like Dokken!) first show of what will be another year of
awesome radio! Don't miss any of it!
On The Last Exit For The Lost:
There was: Just Joe. EVD was not there, and the reason for this would
become apparent in a while. D called in all the way from Sweden (not on
air). Just Joe insisted that his super powers had grown during the week
and were even stronger and better now. He said he would demonstrate this
by climbing the wall. He was scoffed at, but he did it, he climbed the
wall, and then onto the ceiling. He was accused of having put something
on himself, like Velcro, or something, that would make him stick to
surfaces, but he insisted that it was his super powers. He said he was
stuck to the ceiling, and couldn't get down, so Azkath kindly gently
grabbed him, and gently yanked him down by the legs, and, gently threw
him on the floor. He then picked him back up, gently, of course, and,
gently, threw him into the wall a couple of times. EVD called in. He had
a message for Just Joe, err, I mean, Super Joe, and this message went as
follows... "Joe, your super powers aren't going to last forever, and,
when they're gone, and I get out of here, I'm gonna kick your ass, and
kill you!". EVD was asked to elaborate on this, just why wasn't he here,
and where the hell was he? EVD said that he was on top of a tree, and
that he was there because Just, err, Super Joe had put him there. Super
Joe said that EVD had mocked his super powers, and had refused to
believe in them, and so he had used them to put EVD up on top of a tree.
EVD was told to get himself down off the tree and get over to the show.
EVD said that he couldn't, the tree was really tall. Apparently Super
Joe must have put EVD on top of a Giant Redwood, so he must be in
California or someplace like that, yeah, I can see how that might be a
bit hard to get back to the show from. EVD said that he probably could
not make it there this week, but that by next week he would be back. And
he reiterated his message to Super Joe, that his super powers wouldn't /
couldn't last forever, and that, when they were gone, Just Joe would be
very sorry for what he had done! Super Joe did not seem too frightened
by this threat, expressing full confidence in his super powers. TTTP was
played. The rules were... If a bullet played, Super Joe would get to
play a set of music, in order to prevent what had happened last week,
his taking over the show after knocking Azkath out with his super
powers, or Azkath's having tripped and hit his head causing him to go
unconscious for a while, depending on who's version of events you wish
to choose to believe. And, if a bullet didn't play... Then he would have
to go get EVD out of the tree and bring him back there. Or at least that
was the idea, it didn't quite turn out that way, more on which in a sec.
I'm not sure what would be the rule in the highly likely event that
Buckner And Garcia might play, as normally, as I'm sure you all, (and
you BETTER!) know, means that EVD has to take the bullet, and it would
be pretty difficult to play a set of music from the top of a Giant
Redwood. Fortunately, this problem did not have to be grappled with, as
the almost unthinkable, extremely against the odds, happened, and
Buckner And Garcia, for once, did not play. Nor did a bullet. So Super
Joe was told to go get EVD out of the tree, and not to put him in
another tree, which Super Joe had speculated about doing. However, his
instructions had not been specific enough, you have to spell out every
little detail with Joe, because, he may have super powers now, but they
haven't changed everything, he is still dumb. And the part where he was
supposed to bring EVD back with him apparently was not stressed enough,
as Super Joe returned, but EVD did not. Super Joe was questioned about
this. He said that he had taken EVD out of the tree, and had not put him
in another tree, just like he had been told. However, he would not say
just exactly what he had done with EVD, or where he was. He said that he
needed to go back out for a while, and that he wanted to borrow the
camera. He left, with the camera. And then Gorgar called in. Gorgar also
was upset with Super Joe and had a message for him. They asked Gorgar
what was going on, and Gorgar was eager to fill them in... When he had
gone out to get in his car, there was a deer in it (that was what Super
Joe had wanted the camera for, to photograph the fact that he had put a
deer in Gorgar's car). He left before the deer could kill him, and Super
Joe grabbed him and put him up on top of a tree. Oh and, by the way, EVD
was still up in the tree with him, he was sleeping up there next to
Gorgar, so Super Joe had lied about having gotten EVD out of the tree,
which figures, you just can't ever trust anything he says. Gorgar wanted
something to be done about his situation. Azkath said that he would yell
at Super Joe a bit. But apparently Gorgar wanted a little something more
to be done about it, like something that might lead to his liberation
from the tree. Azkath said that he would try to get Super Joe to work on
that, but that he did seem to have some super powers now, so it might be
a bit more difficult than he had at first thought. He told Super Joe to
go get EVD and Gorgar out of the tree and bring them back. Next break,
Super Joe was there, but EVD and Gorgar were still not. Super Joe said
that he had done what he was told, he had gotten EVD and Gorgar out of
the tree. Azkath asked why he should believe this, since Super Joe had
said that last time, and had lied? He told Super Joe to prove that he
was telling the truth this time. Super Joe said that he didn't have to
prove anything. Azkath tried to frighten Super Joe with a spider,
throwing it at him. However, Super Joe just caught the spider and then
let it go. He said that it was because of a spider bite that he had some
of his super powers, so spiders were cool now. Well, Just, err, I mean,
Super Joe, I've been trying to tell you that spiders are cool for years
now, so glad you FINALLY see the light! Perhaps those super powers
actually have made you a little, just a little mind you, smarter after
all. Azkath again ordered Super Joe to go retrieve EVD and Gorgar from
the tree. Super Joe said that he didn't want to, if Azkath wanted them
out of the tree so much, then he should go get them out himself. Azkath
said that he could still beat the crap out of Joe, super powers or no
super powers. He began to slap Super Joe around. At first Super Joe
seemed to be being beaten, crying out and telling Azkath to stop it. But
then, after Azkath had gone back to the board, Super Joe came over to
him, saying that he had something for him (Oooo!, that sounds dirty!).
And he hit Azkath with a trash can, knocking him out, and then taking
over the board, and playing a set of music. Gee, and a bullet hadn't
ever even played, but he got to play a set of music anyways. But at the
next break Azkath disputed what had happened, he said that he had just
been pretending to be knocked out. Super Joe said that no, he had
knocked him out with his super powers. Azkath said that he did not
believe he had super powers, that after all, he hadn't actually seen any
of the claims Super Joe was making. He hadn't actually seen EVD and
Gorgar up in a tree, maybe they were in on a conspiracy to try and play
a trick on him. And he hadn't actually seen the deer in Gorgar's car,
because the video of this Super Joe had shot hadn't come out, because
Super Joe had forgotten to start it. Um, remember what I said a couple
minutes ago about perhaps his new powers had made him a little smarter
after all?? Weeellll, I think maybe I should retract that speculation.
And Azkath still believed that the whole climbing the walls thing had
been achieved through some other means, so, no, he didn't believe Joe
had any super powers. He told Super Joe to prove it, to fly down the
stairs. Super Joe said "Ok". Azkath waited for the thud thud thud of
Super Joe falling down the stairs. But, instead, he got Super Joe
hovering near the ceiling. At first Azkath was somewhat taken a back by
this, but, by the next break, he had decided that it must have been
accomplished by using strings or wires, or something. Just Joe insisted
that it was his super powers, but Azkath still didn't buy it. Then he
asked Super Joe why he had an extra ear, an extra ear right in the
middle of his forehead? Super Joe said that he had grown it to prove his
super powers. Azkath said that, no, he must have glued it on. Super Joe
invited him to try and tear it off. Azkath did, ripping it off, and
saying how it was odd, he'd never seen red glue before. Super Joe said
that that was because it wasn't glue, it was blood, as he had torn off a
real ear, made of flesh and blood. Azkath, however, still did not
believe. And the talk portion of the night's festivities had now come to
an end, so I guess next week we will have more demonstrations of Super
Joe's attempts to prove he has super powers. We shall see if he can make
a believer out of Azkath, and everyone else. Oh and btw, thanks a lot
Joe! I want you to know that writing this recap from up in a Giant
Redwood was NOT easy, or fun. Good thing I could use my Wizard's powers
to conjure up a computer up here, but I AM NOT amused! Could someone
PLEASE do something about this!? The Feature Artists were 6 Finger's and
Divinity Destroyed's performances from The Xtreme Soundscapes Show, on
December 9th of what is now last year. They sounded great, rocked! It
was good to hear them.
