Notes from Azkath...
So, I have been completely unable to get the new Best of uploaded to the
site. First the google uploader would not upload it, then, once it did,
it fucked it up somehow and all that was up was the last 20 minutes
worth. WTF. Ok, anyways, new XS pics from last weeks show are up, as are
new LE pics, the last week's show, etc...
Tonight on The Last Exit, um, it's FMG's birthday, and there will be a
visit from I believe If Man is Five AND From These Ashes. Who knows who
else will stop by... It is also Daylights Savings, which is stupid for
so many reasons. Why are they moving it, rather than just abolishing it?
What the hell does it do aside from confuse and annoy everyone? Who
benefits from it? No one. And then they MOVE it! Yeah, great, that just
makes it that much worse. I think that everyone should just ignore it
and NOT set their clocks ahead. Of course, everyone would have to do it,
or it would be even more confusing, but whatever... Because of this, the
show will only be 5 hours this week, so I am not sure if we will bother
with a feature artist...
** Recaps from Fire Eater Wizard **
On The Metallic Onslaught:
There were: Joe, Rick, Lancer, Josh and all his personalities. Lancer
and Josh brought us the truly disturbing sounds of what Pooh (and, yes,
this time, I do not mean "Poo" as in the shit variety, this time, unlike
the other times I referred to the voice of Poo and said that there was
no h there, well, this time, there is an h there, and I do mean "Pooh"
as in Winny) and all of his friends, i.e. Tigger, Eore, Rabbit, and
Piglet, would be like if they had gone to Norway, and were now True
Norwegian Black Metal. It was very frightening! I hope no little kids
were listening to hear their beloved furry friends like that, because,
if any were, they are now permanently damaged and scarred for life! Hey,
we aim to serve!, that's what we're here for! There was also talk, as
there has been other times, of black metal cows, which is also pretty
disturbing! The band name Hell Yeah was screamed a few hundred more
times, having now fully earned that much coveted and most highly sought
after of awards that bands can hope and aspire to achieve above all
other awards, the award of being a member (heh heh, heh heh, I said
"member!") of that extremely select, elite group of bands who have
reached The Metallic Onslaught/The Last Exit For The Lost Hall Of Fame
for having their names said the most often, both on air, and in the chat
room. Bands would literally kill (and many have) to obtain this most
prestigious of honors that is only bestowed upon a lucky chosen few. For
those of you who have forgotten (and how could you ever forget such a
momentous thing?!, I assure you the bands fortunate enough to have made
it never forget it!), the hall so far contains: "Lamb Of God!", OOOO!!!!
*TINGLE!!!!* Goatwhore, My Penis, and, yes, now, Hell Yeah...
On The Last Exit For The Lost:
There Were: Just Joe, EVD, Richie from the band Assassination. They
apologized to Just Joe for having been wrong last week when they told
him that his hat would give him the power to fly if he jumped off the
roof wearing it. Although, I don't know why they should be the ones
apologizing, since it was Jeffie who had told him that and made him
believe it in the first place, and, if he's stupid enough to believe
everything Jeffie says the way he does, well then he deserves what he
gets... EVD told yet another in his inexhaustible supply of REALLY BAD
jokes. They convinced Just Joe that he had a doppleganger, asking him,
how could he be there when they had just seen him go outside, or
downstairs?? They had him running all over the place, wearing himself
out trying to find himself. Then they turned on the light in the
bathroom and told Just Joe to hurry up and get in there, they had just
seen him run in there! Just Joe charged in there saying that, yes, he
saw himself, too. And a second later there could be heard the sound of
breaking glass. Just Joe, as I'm sure you've all probably figured out,
had run after himself... Right into the mirror. And that means 7 years
bad luck, like he needs that, his lucks always so bad already! Oh well,
Just Joe, cheer up, look on the bright side... You can't actually have 7
years bad luck, as the world doesn't have 7 years left. Of course, that
also means, that you will never have good luck again, as the world will
run out before your bad luck for breaking the mirror will. Oh well, then
don't look on the bright side, because I guess there isn't one, not for
you, anyways. Just Joe challenged them to a duel, well, he called it a
snow off. He and Azkath would try to throw each other in the snow. The
winner would have to grant the loser three wishes... Within reason,
nothing magical, even though Just Joe was still claiming that his hat,
despite all it's failures thus far, had magical powers. And, should they
both go into the snow at the same time, then, according to Just Joe's
rules, they would both win and both lose at the same time, meaning that
nobody would have to do anything for anyone. (Oh my God! I actually
understood what Just Joe meant! NOOOO!!!! That is NOT GOOD! Next I'll be
understanding what Jeffie means! I need help! Someone help me, PLEASE!).
Ok, *tries to calm down and pull herself together* So there was a
wrestling match in the snow, Just Joe, Azkath, and Richie. Azkath won.
Which of course meant that Just Joe, that idiot, owes him three wishes,
and it's all his own fault. Azkath told Just Joe that he was going to
save his wishes, and use them when appropriate moments come up. So have
fun looking forward to when they will be sprung on you, dumbass. TTTP
was played. There are now four thousand eight hundred and ninety songs
on the computer. If a bullet played, then more people would get thrown
around in the snow, but none did, so no one was. Richie, who, as I said
above, is in the band Assassination, well, turns out, he's the whole
damn band. Not exactly like Shoebox, because Richie has instruments, and
he plays them all, while he sings. And, so, that's what he did this
night on LE. Did an extended set, sang several songs, and played the
guitar, and drums, while he sang. Very impressive! And, it was cool,
too, and rocked. http://www.myspace.com/assassinationusa is where you
can find him. The Feature Artist was that other one-man- band (this one
with a CD player), Live Worm Quartet. That sounded great, was a treat to
hear, and rocked! And, remember everyone!, Worm Quartet's brand spankin'
new keenarific CD "Mental Notes" is now available, and you all need to
rush yourselves right on over to his web site http://www.wormquartet.com
and purchase at least one immediately! But hey, why not more, you can
never have enough Worm Quartet, and they also make great gifts!, anyone
you give one or more of them to will love you forever! (Ok, Shoebox,
where's my cut of your take?!). :) Oh, and, one last thing I'd like to
mention... This weeks recap marks the 3rd anniversary of my writing
these summaries of the shows. Three years since I was asked to try
writing them and did. It was an honor and a privillege to be asked to do
so, and it has been so to do it. I hope you've enjoyed them, and that
they contribute something to your The Metallic Onslaught, and The Last
Exit For The Lost experience...
