Notes from Azkath
Ok, finalized line-up for the Xtreme Soundscapes Show NEXT Saturday, the
17th of November. Opening with The Dead Army, then Beyond World's End,
Rabid, and Angels Beneath Me. Starts at 6pm, only $5, and it's the
Xtreme Soundscapes 3rd Anniversary Show. This is the first show we have
done since June, so please come out and support us. The Girls Rock Girls
Rule show we only co-sponsored, this one is all us :) It will also be
way too heavy... At The Haunt, Ithaca...
Frizz and Dooger will be hosting the beginning of The Metallic Onslaught
this week... Other than that, no idea what is planned.
On The Last Exit, I think we will bring back the Evil Box and see what
happens. And possibly, Angels Beneath Me will stop by...

On The Metallic Onslaught:
There were: Joe, Rick, Lance, Josh, President Troll Sir, Jeffie, and
EVD. Everyone told Jeffie that Lance was not there, each time he
insisted he could see him, they insisted he wasn't there, so it must all
be in his head. Jeffie said that it must be because Lance had been with
the aliens, and was now an alien, too, and, thus, was using his alien
powers to control all of their minds, tricking them into thinking he
wasn't there when he really was. They told Jeffie that, perhaps it might
be the other way around, had he thought of that? Maybe Lance was
controlling his mind, making him think that he was there when he really
wasn't. Josh became a zombie because Jeffie kissed him, and he died of
horror. He started acting really strange and wrong, even more so than
usual, which is saying quite a lot. He growled and licked people. Lance
would give Jeffie commands to do things, he would, they would ask him
why he was doing them, he would say Lance told him to, they would tell
him Lance was not there. Jeffie brawled with various people...
On The Last Exit For The Lost:
There were: The Demon Azkath, Foul Mouth Girl, Just Joe, EVD, Gorgar,
Steve from Armageddon Monks, the band Rabid, and a couple of their
friends. It was a seven hour show this week, as Daylight Savings Time
kicked in at 2:00 AM, and, at that hour, the time dropped back to 1:00
AM, causing an extra hour for the show. As, in most years, this has
meant it is also a Tribute To The Past Show, so it was this year, so
there was a lot of old, rare metal played this night, that you won't
hear anywhere else, but there was also new music played, as there was a
ton of cool new stuff, so some of that got air play, too. And, listeners
were invited to call in with any old, rare, obscure requests from back
in the day that they would like to hear again, as well as anything else
they might want to hear, LE always does it's utmost to fulfill it's
listener's wishes. Two members of Rabid, Mike and Chris, were there.
They were interviewed, updated us on what's going on with them. Tracks
from their CD, which is now out were played, along with a couple of very
rough cuts from their new, upcoming CD, which will be out early in '08.
They rocked, they are a cool band, and they will be participating in the
3rd Anniversary Xtreme Soundscapes Show, in a week, more on which as it
draws nearer. www.myspace.com/rabid666 is the web site where you can
find them. Also a track from Mike's other band, Cruciation, was played.
It was cool. The band got hugged by Just Joe when his Hugging Music
played. Just Joe was asked to pick whom in the room he would like to
have stapled with a staple gun. He picked Steve. But Azkath stapled Joe
with it instead. A lot. All over his body, including his applebag. And
his mouth... Shut... Then everyone said "Goatwhore", over and over and
over again, because, with his mouth stapled shut, he would have a very
hard time repeating it, and would kill himself trying. Also, Just Joe
got stapled to Steve, and then, later, to Gorgar. So, a mostly old
school night. For the last hour, it was an hour of old, really dark
music, which is what used to be done on LE years ago, so another nod to
the past, which was very cool to experience again...!
