Aloha Everyone!!  Good to see you guys chatting... A couple of things...

 

 The Travel video... It was great.  I agree it's one that could make you cry (unless you don't LOVE Hawaii).  I wish there was a way to bring the video back but I believe that some other group was using the song so they can't promote the video.... I know.... copyright laws can be a good thing and sometimes a real pain!!

 

 NOTHING YET officially from Danny on his new show (but we keep hearing that it's gonna happen)  I know the hotel unions were talking about doing a strike a few months back (Danny spoke of that on AJ's show this past summer) and they waited till everything settled with that and THEN the EARTH MOVED!!   As far as the show on the Big Island, that stopped about a year ago.  He really doesn't announce his shows in advance. Why, I don't know, I have my guesses to why... one being IT'S HAWAII.... THINGS CAN CHANGE at the last minute and there have been people who flew over just to see him and when he wasn't there they were really upset... just live in Hawaii for a few months (if even that) and you will know that anything can happen.

 

I have heard from credible sources that Danny is CLOSE to being finished with his new CD!!  It will be different than what we are use to. NO HAWAII songs on this one.  Just the great classics.  The Danny Couch Fan Club - www.dannycouchfanclub.com has a sample of him singing Mona Lisa from the Made in Hawaii event this past August on the news page.  Lovelyn - who is the President of the Fan Club- lives in Hawaii and has been a fan of Danny's since the Aliis days.  She was a part of the original fan club for Danny and she has helped out other fan sites.  I heard Mona Lisa and I can say that his VOICE is SO AMAZING!  I can only imagine what the other 13 songs will sound like. I have heard him sing Unforgettable & When I Fall In Love and he really knows how to capative his fans. Danny was on Aloha Joe talking about HIS project publicly and sharing some of the titles of the songs and the artists who sang or wrote some of the songs.  He told us that he wanted to do something different.  He did say ALOHA JOE will be getting the CD ahead of time, so be listening up.  I spoke with ALOHA JOE and he said that he will put those new songs in rotations even though it's different. & If you are on ALOHA JOE's mailing list you will KNOW when the new CD comes in. Joe will send a note out to everyone!! 

 

 

Also anyone who is on the Smart Groups - another e-mail group for Danny fans, please note that Smart Groups (the entire website) is shutting down at the end of this month.

 

ON a personal note...Sorry I have been out of the loop, but I'm not hearing much of anything either. Plus some of you guys know what I have been going through this year and I need a break so I can focus on new projects.  I am working on new directions to help get the word out about Danny's music and I hope that other people can think of new and creative ways with their jobs.
