Hi Elliott!
Usually when the batteries start to go the LinnDrum
starts to freak. On occasion my LinnDrum just freaks
(and not Le Freak C'est Chic either) without any
warning. I've narrowed mine down to the group of
molex connectors that are all positioned close to each
other by the batteries, power supply, etc... and if I
push them back down it seems to solve the problem. I
haven't had a freak out in a while now. It seems like
everyones LinnDrum is different, almost like Cabbage
Patch LinnDrums!
I finally got around to changing the batteries in my
9000 and it made a world of difference. It's not
randomly crashing and making the 2 congas go out of
pitch anymore. I can't explain that last bit but
before I changed the batts, and if you just
alternately tapped the conga pads, they would stay in
tune then all of a sudden one would slightly drop out
of pitch. To the casual ear one probably wouldn't
have noticed but when you are like us.....!
Dave :-)
