Ok, now that that's done let's get to the other news. Lisa and the band
will be giving a FREE concert this Saturday, September 9th in Escondido.
Steve White opens the show at 4 pm and Lisa will perform from 5-7 pm.
The concert site will be at the corner of Grand and City Centre Parkway
in front of the Washington Mutual Bank. Directions are as follows: From
15 exit at Valley Parkway, go East, turn left on Centre City Parkway and
then right on Grand. The stage will be on your left hand side. The
weather should be picture perfect so come on out and join us. Peggy
Watson will be replacing Mary Dolan who is on a 2 month nationwide tour
of her own promoting her new CD, Long Way From Home. Check out her web
site at http://www.marydolan.com for cities she will be in. Incredible
bass player, Albie Dunbar from Los Angeles will be filling the big shoes
of John Castro who has moved to New York. And of course, it wouldn't be a
Lisa Sanders show without the incomparable Dana LeeWood singing with Lisa
on This House.
The weekend carries on with Lisa and Peggy Watson performing at Street
Scene on the Horton Grand Stage at Streeet Scene. They will be singing
and answering questions from the audience on Sunday, September 10th from
4:15 pm to 5 pm.
Also, you will find Lisa's picture and an article in this Saturday's San
Diego Union-Tribune (www.uniontrib.com) in the Family Ties section. And
again on Sunday in the Currents section so check it out. Lisa is
pictured with fellow Street Scene performers, Rachel Cutler and Chunky
Sanchez of Los Alacranes.
The following weekend Lisa heads up to Northern California for 2 shows on
September 16th in Guerneville (about 90 minutes north of San Francisco).
For more information log on to http://www.mainstation.com or calll
707-869-0501. Seating is very limited so make your reservations early.
This is non-PA venue so it's an intimate acoustic show with her special
friends, the Copper Wimmin.
Stay tuned for the Live and Local 2000 Showcase in Lake Elsinore on
September 23rd. Details TBA.
As always thanks for your support and know that we are all working
diligently to get Lisa the recognition she deserves and out on tour to
other parts of the country and the world.
This month's contest: The first person who responds with the message "I
VOTED FOR LISA" in ALL three online contests wins a Lisa Sanders
tee-shirt and a phone call from Lisa herself. Obviously this is on the
honor system so please do vote first.
