Hi Everybody
A couple of very important announcements!!
I'm sooo excited!! This Friday, Feb. 17th I'll be sharing the stage with Lost
Highway
recording artist Mary Gauthier at Acoustic Music San Diego. The show begins at
7:30 pm..details are on the website www.acousticmusicsandiego.com.
:: ABOUT MARY... Named NEW/EMERGING ARTIST OF THE YEAR at the 2005 Americana
Music Awards, people have started catching on, from grad students clustered into
Boston
cafes to crowds cheering before the main stages at Newport, Telluride, the
Strawberry
Music Festival, and in venues beyond our shore. Jon Pareles of the New York
Times picked
her album Filth & Fire as the top indie release of 2002. Rolling Stone acclaimed
her
"American Gothic tales, delving into physical abuse, drug addiction, abject
poverty, and
homelessness." CMJ lauded her "piercing honesty" and "powerful singing her
voice
cracks more out of weariness than frailty."

NEW CD news!!
I am proud to announce I have a new CD completed and ready for production! So
far the
reviews have been that this is "the best one yet"! It is a collection of songs
that have been
written over the last two years. Some of which have been written from the
experiences that
I've had spending time with Grammy winner Lucinda Williams. They have been a
healing
and a blessing at the same time and a whole lot of fun! I'm also including a new
song
titled "Firefly" written by Steve Poltz and Maia Sharp, as well as, "Texas"
co-written with
Susan Gibson (writer of "Wide Open Spaces" by the Dixie Chicks).
Jeff Berkley of Berkley Hart and the Citizen Band is producing the CD and I have
never had
such a warm and exciting experience in the studio before! The musicians on this
CD are
the finest in the country and I am proud and in awe of their contribution. The
CD is a
collection of blues, jazz and pop all in one! I can't wait for y'all hear it.
Whether or not you
have any or all of my CDs this will be one you won't want to miss! I Promise!
But I need your help!! I am taking advance orders for the Please follow the link

Of course, the really big news is that Lisa opens for BB King this Sunday, July 6th at Viejas Concerts In The Park. This is a repeat performance as Lisa did 4 shows with this living legend back in 1997. This is Lisa's second appearance at Viejas, previously opening for The Violent Femmes in 2000. She was the very first performer on the stage of this brand new venue.
Backing up Lisa this Sunday will be the producers of her latest CD, Hold On Tightly, - The Truckee Brothers, Brown Sugar and stand-up bass player extraordinaire David Carpenter guaranteeing some great music from some great musicians. Good seats are still available by calling Ticketmaster or going to ticketmaster.com
Lots of other exciting Lisa Sanders news is in the works so stay tuned and support independent music!
----------------------
PS: If anyone out there would like to join up on the Lisa Sanders team and take over this email list and news update please respond to this email. It is done through yahoogroups.com which is very easy to use and would involve adding new names that Lisa gathers at her shows and then sending out a monthly or bi-monthly email about her upcoming shows. Preferrably someone in the San Diego area so you can get the list of new names from Lisa on a regular basis.
Thanks and have you hugged your local musician today!
That's right, Lisa will be opening for BB King once again. This time it will be at Viejas Concerts In The Park here in San Diego on Sunday, July 6th. See below for ticket info.
Lisa will be doing an intimate solo acoustic performance tonight, Friday, June 6th at the Current Affairs Bookstore in North Park. The show starts at 7:30 pm.
For those of you who are on summer vacation, unemployed, indepedently wealthy or just want to play hooky, come join us next Wednesday, June 11th at Lou's Records in Encinitas at 4:30 pm. Lisa will be doing an in-store performance to promote Hold On Tightly. We need a good crowd for this show so if you are available come on down to Lou's. Lou's is a great place to shop for all your music needs and browse the bins.
Stay sitting on the edge of your seats for more exciting Lisa Sanders news in the very near future!!!!
