Hi all,
I am experimenting with the latest version of LS and am frustrated to say the
least.
I am using an Alesis QS6 kb'd via a midiman midi to usb cable with a 2.7 gig
Intel HP dc7800 small form factor (1/2 size cards limiting card choice) and
onboard
Intel® Q35 Express Chipset
2 gig ram
High Def (Soundmax) integrated audio
USB2 connects (probably working at usb1 speed to accommodate the midiman cable)
I have experimented with asio4all.
There is a sufficiently noticeable chopiness on chord changes (that would not
occur on an arranger kbd) to prevent me from using LS as a viable medium.
But believe it or not, an even greater frustration is the nag screen that not
only interrupts my exploration of the demo prog, but insists on monopolising my
screen real estate regardless of what else I am doing...
THERE IT GOES AGAIN!!!!! in the middle of writing on this webpage.
I have paid for and own BIAB and OMB so I have no problem investing in creative
excellence.
Norbert, I understand the need for software protection, but I am confident you
could sufficiently cripple the demo without using this technique.
Otherwise I like the general layout, accessability, and
AAAAAARGH! THERE IT GOES AGAIN.
Cheers all, and thanks in advance for your ideas.
