World Beat: Caravan of Silk and Jade



If you like to hear Carnatic (South Indian) music played with and by the
Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, local Twin Cities' musicians, Nirmala,
Srini and Pavan, are all performing with the SPCO on Dec 7 and Dec 9.

Traditional Carnatic compositions will be played by, and with, the
Orchestra in a chamber setting. Rahim Al Haj will be playing the
Oud, the same nights as well. (see below, Program in Brief).

high-speed chase through the Persian landscape of time past. Ragas and
Thillanas of South India finish the program with a ravishing Bollywood
ending!
