Winter classes begin the week of January 5, 2009


New this session:Techniques & Rhythms for Arabic & Middle Eastern Drums
5:00-6:30 PM, Sundays with Tim O'Keefe
Minneapolis Studio, Sun Room

Tim will focus on Arabic/Middle Eastern drums such as doumbeck, riqq,
and tar. He will pay special attention to proper technique, tone
production for each drum, and simple to complex rhythms, along with
rhythmic analysis of well known dance pieces.

Regular class fees apply.

Sparkle comprises a shining array of new works from the Jawaahir
dancers. Jawaahir company choreography shows consistently offer a
variety of entertaining pieces in a multitude of styles and voices.
They will be joined by special appearances from Jawaahir alumni and
surprise guest artists.

Tickets are $14 with $2 discounts for Guild of Oriental Dance members,
and can be purchased online.
