My husband Tom and I are from Kansas City, MO. Tom and Galen Bird built
his 37-note, midi controlled monkey organ in 1998. My organ is an
acryllic 20-note Jaeger and Brommer belly organ. We have listended to
and played Galen's Magic Organa at several AMICA and COAA rallies and
love to hear the accordian.

Hi All, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Holidays.

Hope all is well with you all.
This problem came up this past Sunday.
I was at a music party and some one asked me to play Bank 18 song 9,
Winter Wonderland. After I got the song programed and presed the start
button, it would'nt start. I had no trouble with any of the other songs
I played, only that one song.
Could there be something wrong with the card, the song or my accordion?
Does any one have problems with this song?
Thanks and Happy New Year to you all.

Great.  I will put the new songs on it.  I hope to get some time to try the ones Fred sent.  He said some of them would probably work but they are not made for the accordion.

Download the files, The 40er_v4.exe is a selfextracting RAR Archive it
contains the music (the midi files). Copy the files to the Card and
then you can play the songs.

The new songs are made for the MagicOrgana. You donīt must transpose
them. The songs are made by us, there are no copy of 37er music. We
played the songs on a real accordion. Copy the songs to the SMC Card
and enjoy the music.

We have to check all the songs and see which ones will work.  Some will have to be transposed up 3 steps.  It will take a few weeks most likely.  They are copied from old 37 note organ rolls.  I will work on them and get them ready as soon as possible.  I might just send everyone a cd depending on how many work.  Galen

Mike you can get a card reader at best buy and that will let you look at the songs on the card and add new songs.

You will need a computer program like cakewalk to let you make music and edit it.

You can download music from the internet but you might have to move it up or down to fit the scale of the accordion.  Some music works well and some will not work at all.

thanks, Galen

Thanks Stephan,
Could I down MIDI Music off the internet? There is alot of FREE music
out there.
Do I need a special program? What type of Smart Card reader/writer
should be used.
I have a friend at work in the computer dept said he would help me
set up my computer if you could send me the detailed description of
how it is done.
I'm now off to the accordion festival.
Thanks for all your help,
Mike

Stephan,
Now I just have to find someone with a midi accordian and knows how
to transfer to computer then to our music storage card. I guess I'll
need to go to computer/msuic school.
Thanks.

Hallo,

The new music is made by our accordion player, he played the songs on
a real accordion with midi output. If you send sheet music it is
possible to make the songs, but if our musician didnīt know the songs
he canīt play them. So itīs very difficult to make songs from the USA
here in germany. It is possible to make your own new songs:
You only need a accordion player, a real accordion with midi output
and a computer. The song that the player played is recorded with the
computer. Mike your are on the accordion festival and there are many
accordion players. These guys can make you your own music. Did you
know any body with a midi accordion? A other way to get new music is a
keyboard, but it is not so easy. If any one has a player, ask me i
will help you and make detail description. But in the next weeks we
make some american music. If the songs are complete i upload the songs
to the files folder and send a message.

Glad you had a good time at Crown Center.  I would have loved to have been there in person to hear you both.  We will be going to Omaha for the organ rally next weekend.  Wish you could make it.  Gerold is bringing a 12 volt battery and I'm bringing the inverter and amp so we can have an accordion band.  Should be lots of fun.  We might have several accordions for that event.  Galen

Thanks for the email Galen. I,so happy to know we will be getting some Hymns. I sure do need them.
I played the big Oktoberfest Fri- Sat &Sun at Crown Center - Union Station Paul jr. brought his big bass  saxophone there Sat,and played the OOM PAH while I played accordion. It was sensational and the people were wild about it, You can't believe how good it sounded. I also saw Anna Maria there. We had a great talk about you &Linda.    Keep me informed.  Love Y' both------ Paul
I will mail you my old chip and you can upgrade it for someone else. Thanks for the 10 new ones.

I gave him a quite a bit of sheet music a few months ago and it included quite a bit of amierican and religious songs.  I think his accordion player will be ready to start making music after October.  We are all going to Omaha, NE to play next weekend.  Galen
