It would not have mattered much either way, and we can prove this fact yet again
with another listening test....:)

Lutes do not have many strong harmonics once they have done with their attack
portion...so the signal to the ear does not give one a strong sense of "this is
out of tune with the harpsichord"

OK, now come the attacks, from all sides....duck!
