My friend Mandy Moore also joined us on the beach for a night of cold
pizza and juice boxes after a day of writing in Boston.
I spent a couple of days in gorgeous Woodstock NY on top a mountain in
full autumn glory. Working with Mandy Moore over the last year has
been a wonderful experience for me. As a co-writer and a new friend,
Mandy has taught me a lot about the human spirit and where it can take
you - if you let it! So I found myself kissing the kids goodbye and
driving my little minivan up a mountain to meet my friend and hear her
sing her songs, her words. I did get to play a little guitar and sing
a tiny bit. But mostly I was there to watch her record unfold.
Produced by John Alagia (Dave Matthews) I predict this will be Mandy's
best record yet, and I'm not prejudice at all! Look for it early next
year.
