Mandy Moore had quite the week last week, gaining both a future husband
(Ryan Adams) and a detergent sponsor (Gain). While the first
partnership hasn't borne any musical fruit just yet, the latter has
resulted in the first single from her forthcoming album Amanda Leigh
being downloadable from a Mandy-riffic site set up by the detergent.
(Annoying alert: In order to register, the site requires that you
upload an image of yourself, for who knows what reason.) "I Can Break
Your Heart Any Day Of The Week" is a peppy little earworm that Moore co-
wrote with former Candy Butcher Mike Viola; it sneaks in a lyrical
reference to wrapping the lover in sheets, which I guess is supposed to
be a pleasant fate because of the sweet smell of the detergent they're
