hello from the comfort/confines of my bed on a perfectly beautiful tuesday
afternoon.

i'm trying to relax a bit before the inevitable torture of getting my wisdom
teeth removed later today (although anything is a better alternative to the
mind-numbing pain these useless teeth have put me through already). i'm just a
big baby....but the dentist FREAKS me out.


in any event, sorry for the extended break from blogging. i will be making a
concerted effort to be better at this part of the job. promise.


it's been nice to have had some downtime at home after traveling quite a bit
this year and before we starting bouncing around for the album. joni's had
plenty of attention and love from everyone (including some new suitors). i've
been messing around with my new optigan (AMAZING), obsessively watching "west
wing" reruns and listening to some groovy new tunes floating around the house.
overall, life is pretty good.


speaking of the album, we decided on the cover last week and are prepping to
shoot a video sometime mid-month (with the most genius treatment).


i'm also proud to be on the cover of the april issue of one of my favorite mags,
MARIE CLAIRE. it's on stands march 17th and i believe that there's an
opportunity for 10,000 people who buy the magazine to download a free track off
the record. pretty cool of them, huh??
