Martian Acres is home to a dynamic population of two songwriters, who have combined their very different personal and professional backgrounds to create a popular musical repertoire which critics have called "un-nichable."

And the Band?

The Martian Acres Band—Alternative-Boulder music at its best. The Acres’ songbook runs along a wide musical river. They’ve received international song-writing awards and distinctions in categories as diverse as rock, country, blues, and gospel. Their radio and Internet fans stretch from Paris ("Midnight Blues Radio") to Australia (one of that country’s most downloaded songs in 2007). Their mid-2008 song "Missing You" topped the Acoustic category in the national OurStage competition (one of the major backers of Bonnaroo). And, when you've got 'em live, watch out! On stage, the Acres’ band features only Colorado’s "brightest lights" talent-wise, and their rock-cover repertoire—as one observer noted—is "fearless." That’s why the house is "usually stuffed, and is always rockin’."
