I've read that the rack mount Mirage DMS-8 is the same as the DSK-8, only no keyboard. Realistically, is there any difference between the two models? Thanks...

It's basically true - though there were different models of both the keyboard and the rackmount. But the specific models you mention (which I happen to have)...

Yeah - that was my understanding - I guess it was the last model of the keyboard that didn't have the cartridge port. I don't suppose anyone has a DSK-1...

I have a DSK-1 with no cartridge port. I bought it new in1987 and was probably one of the last ones. Still in good working order and in pristine condition....
