Thanks Tim.............stimulating words.
I will try to connect "in the dressing room before the show". Sounds so obvious but, til now, I have been too busy eating, chatting then putting the make up on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have meditated before, prior to a gig. My problem was that the effect diminished as time went on. However, it is the perfect time to set the intention.
I really want to hear your band. Any Cardiff gigs?

changing the subject...............

physical sensitivity to sound
I have had 2 issues recently............
1. Sound volume from modern instruments/decibel levels of Shostakovich symphony, played by a big orchestra in a confined space. On a "sensitive" day I couldn't cope. After running out, I returned with ear plugs. Then missed the conductors comments and quiet moments! Ear plugs=Interesting experiment. Sensation of being withdrawn into own world. Great escapism, but not comfortable.
2. "Head" sensitivity to a piece of noisy, discordant modern music. My body reacted badly, and I literally yelped (I noise that sounded more "musical" than the piece.) I know I can't expect everything to be as gentle as Bach, but there are limits!
(Having said all that, It was a particularly tricky time in my personal place which doubles sensitivities)

"Think of the money!". Yeh, but think of my sanity!

Please tell me if my contributions are becoming indulgent.
I hope that, by relaying my personal experiences, it might provoke relevant M&P sharings from others.

As for you guys, Clement and Max..........our network needs you BOTH.
Having had the pleasure of knowing you BOTH, I see so many skills, so much knowledge, life experience, music, spiritual connection, joy, love, light.......I could go on!
I hope that any misunderstandings can be left behind with forgiveness.

So glad to be part of such a stimulating group.
Love to you all.
Eva
(ps I will be "quiet" in Oct/Nov. Going to live in India.
pps How was Lucinda's Psyche weekend or any other recent events???????????????

Tim, I will look into the decibel levels. The device that was last used measured the "average" of the rehearsal.......what a waste of time. It is the extremes ...
