The voice expresses how we experience being in the world. It reflects our inhibitions and fears as well as our spontaneity, joy and creative flow. Working with breath, body, movement and image, voice and self meet in a unique place. Resting with clear attention in the present moment body, mind and voice move together towards greater aliveness and creativity. By introducing you to new ways of accessing your voice we provide safe ground for you to develop and extend the range, power and expressive potential within your singing, sounding, and speaking voice. The process of excavating hidden vocal qualities and bringing them into new harmony with the self, acts as a vibrant and life giving way of working through defenses and insecurities. As you develop the range and remit of your voice new possibilities emerge enhancing your confidence, your sensitivity and your relationship with the world.
The work is process based and takes each individual on a journey of discovery and growth. Integral Voice allows us space and time to discover and explore that which holds us back from our full, free voice and to celebrate the creative power of that voice. Working with therapeutic and creative processes, we seek to find the whole voice, free of limitation, whilst physically and emotionally grounding it within our bodies. This allows for a process of embodiment, which offers us the opportunity to be more available and to come to know and inhabit ourselves more fully.
Course fee £190. (some concessions available).
It is important that you have one individual session prior to attending an introductory course if you have not worked with either of us before.
