Taara Duo

Taara have recently been acclaimed as one of the hottest bands to break from the West African musical hotspot of Senegal, gaining recognition and rave reviews from the likes of fRoots and Musician. Their rootsy melodic music is inspired by the traditional songs of Senegal, from which they also take their name.
The band released their album ‘Lebonne Lippon’ in 2007 following it with a UK tour later in the year.
Tonight we will hear the two front men solo from this cool band....
The band's Dakar-born, London-based band leader, Seyni Diop, underpins the music with his phenomenal bass and guitar playing. Mansour Ndaiye, the lead singer, has a warm tone to his impressive soaring vocals and these together with the driving rhythms and European instrumental flavours make for vibrant, life-affirming stuff!

Cost: £25 per person eat-as-much-as-you-like buffet and including the music.
(If you don't want to eat why not come for a celebratory drink at the bar. All welcome!)
