Re: Refreshing the Spirit -a course for Music Teachers and Performers

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Here are details of a refreshing and mutually enriching course for musical kindred spirits.

It would be wonderful if you (or friends or colleagues) could come?

Warm wishes, Lucinda

“Refreshing the Spirit”

A Practical Psychology Course

to refresh and inspire Music Teachers & Performers

Monday 27th-Friday 31st July, Aberystwyth, Wales

Do you feel like a break?

A relaxing and rejuvenating week by the sea, with mountains and waterfalls, and as much or as little music as you want?

Time to reflect on your own life and career, and a chance to experience the latest inspiring, right brained, whole bodied, practical ideas to refresh your music teaching, learning or performing?

Open to all instrumentalists and singers this course will heighten awareness and understanding of the underlying energy -or spirit- of lessons and performances, affirm you in your intuition, and offer practical ways to keep the energy vibrant and alive in your teaching, learning or performing.

It will deepen your understanding of yourself, your pupils -why they learn and why they don’t, your pupils’ parents, the schools or colleges you teach in, and how to deal with them all.

It will enhance your ability to perform, or to teach performing, through a combination of psychological and emotional insight, with technical tips for secure performances, and there will be performance opportunities.

You will gain a greater understanding of the power and use of subtle energy: imagery and visualization, thought, words and touch in achieving your goals, and in reducing stress.

Also, for fun and for your teaching, there will be ongoing music making including singing, playing by ear, improvising, moving and dancing -for which no previous experience is necessary.

Run in conjunction with Musicfest, course participants have free entry to all concerts, masterclasses and events with internationally renowned musicians.

Accommodation is in single rooms in pleasant, self catering student flats, or you can rent a house and bring the whole family (or book independently).

Fees  £275 (or £55 per day) for the course, and £145 (or £22 per night)

Travel by car or train via Birmingham New Street
