Dear All Loft friends and colleagues, 

Lighting Up Forgotton Faces

A fundraising salon-style concert at the Loft ... on behalf of  Meir Panim UK

October 17th 7.30 to 10.30 @ the Loft.  

* Please note the £18 entry has been lowered to £10 * 

The evening will also include wine and nibbles.. and of course - a friendly social atmosphere... ! 

Meir Panim is specifically donating all funds raised at this event to provide discreet food cards, enabling holocuast survivors in Israel who live below the poverty line to purchase good quality food with dignity, instead of eating only bread and potatoes, which many of them are forced to live off.  

A concert featuring Jenni Roditi,  Bernard Greenwood and Kate Shortt, with Neyire Ashworth and Paul Roditi. 

Jenni Roditi, piano and voice.

Bernard Greenwood, violin,

Kate Shortt, cello

Neyire Ashworth, clarinet. 

Paul Roditi, guitar. 

Jenni will perform some of her original recent "minimalist, avant, chamber, pop" compositions - soon to be featured at Kings Place.   

Her music has been described as having "simple and striking melodic colours ... with textures of silk and velvet". (Evening Standard). 

 

Kate will perform both classical music and  original material at the cello and  piano, encompassing spoken observations and comedy

thoughts! She has been described as a  ‘Victor Borge’ of the cello with a ‘Wonderful Elastic Face’ (London Live Radio) 

and ‘Wide ranging vocals’ (The Stage). 

There will also be some authentic Klezmer music with Bernard Greenwood of Balabushtah, 

a Sephardic song from Paul Roditi on the guitar and an Ladino song from Jenni. 

Shelly Vickers Pertz will be exhibiting some of her beautiful healing paintings

and there will also be an exhibition of photos from Meir Panim. 

MC Madame Tiara will guide you through the evening.
