Hello Friends-
It’s time for the Lute to come out of the closet and be dusted off and played during the holidays again. It is such a pleasure to play Renaissance music on the lute again. The last lute gig was the Cooper house concert in Lambertville in July. Thanks to Jim and Joanne Elwell , Eric and Aimee Derby Diana Merkel ,Deb Manfredonio and the New Jersey Botanical Society I will continue my luting and the lute will continue to earn it’s keep. My Christmas guitar arrangements from my new 2005 CD, ”Instrumental Solo Christmas Guitar“will also be featured this month. CD’s will be sold at all shows and gigs throughout December and there are plenty of choices for friends of music to catch a show or gig.
My CD’s are being aired on channel 77 in Ringwood and other local areas behind the community announcements and one of my tunes is being used for a commercial on channel 10 in Sussex County. The commercial is for the Common Ground Café in Franklin NJ.
I want to thank Linda for her indefatigable support and help with the time consuming Christmas CD project as well as all the students and friends who are making my life so enjoyable! Linda and I have been sitting at the dining room table putting together the inserts and taping off the CD’s one by one and packing them in envelopes for the post office. By the way, John Franz and Bill Sheehan are the super fans of the year for their Christmas CD orders! I’ll have to check ebay to see what they plan to do with them all.
I hope all of you have
a great holiday season with your family, friends and loved ones and that my
music will add to a memorable Holiday event!
Sincerely,
John Sheehan

Instrumental Solo Christmas Guitar
John Sheehan has arranged 10 well known
Christmas songs for finger-style guitar. I just about fell off my chair when I
heard John's "Silent Night" as I wasn't expecting to hear a solid
finger-style blues groove used for such a tune. But it works a treat. As do all
the arrangements in fact, which deftly weave the traditional elements of the
song with John's imaginative rhythmic and melodic excursions.
"Sheehan's medieval 'O Come, O Come Emmanuel' is majestic . Every song on Instrumental Solo Christmas Guitar is enjoyable and will put you in a peaceful and happy holiday mood!" Laura Lynch ,Kweevak.com

"all the great qualities of your other CD's and more" Dean Dobbs, Highland Lks. NJ
"Loved the rendition of Silent Night" Douglas Kraft, Henderson NV
