first vocals and notes of "Autumn Drums (overture)" you know that Of
Autumn and Insight is going to be something special. Sarah Wallace
has this haunting voice that cuts through the guitar work, even
though it is almost a whisper. Combined with JL Hannah's talk-sing
approach and you have one powerhouse opener. All of the
instrumentation is subdued, yet stands out like an ornament on a
tree. This is how progressive rock was meant to be made, with many
themes and ideas woven together to form a whole which is greater
then the sum of its parts. Highly recommended to fans of mellower,
experimental progressive rock."

IS EVERYBODY IN ?

At this point, every SumVoices player and singer should have in
their hot little hands (and ears), a copy of the cd, as well as the
special limited edition 10 x 10 inch album book. Hope you liked that
one. If I missed anyone, or if your mailing somehow went astray,
then please email me pronto...post haste...and before that too !!,
and i'll remedy the situation.

If I miss-spelled anything, or otherwise screwed up in any of the
liner notes or packaging, then please accept my apologies. This
whole 4 year plus experience has been a wonderful, but challenging
one for me. So i realize that
some things probably could have been done better. All in all though,
based on the emails and phone calls I've been
receiving...unsolicited...most people really seem to dig the cd.

Thanx once again to those of you out there...you know who you
are !!!...who played and sang and contributed to
"Of Autumn & Insight". It is a waaaaay cool record !...if I do say
so myself....and i DO !

$$ COMMERCE $$

Though I've no delusions of commercial success from cd sales, it
would be really helpful if I could sell a few of these...if for no
other reason than to help feed thy habit...ie. further recording of
new material.
Also, it would be nice if these songs were just heard by many ears.
I genuinely believe that many of these songs deserve that. And you
guys are very talented people who deserve to be heard !!...way more
that I.

To give you some perspective on the financing aspect...even if I
sold all 1000 of the cds at the $14 I put them up for on the cd baby
site, I still wouldn't be even close to breaking even. The studio
time, manufacturing costs, the packaging, web fees, postage blah
blah blah...suffice it to say that it's a big nut. Fortunately,
doing this over a 4 yr period...you know, like going to school part-
time...well, it helped keep it affordable. And having benevolent
talented friends such as yourselves makes it all possible.

I've zero regrets about spending the money...'twas a true labor of
luv for me...but, if you would be so kind as to forward this
SumVoices Museletter to anyone you know who might be remotely
interested in hearing our music, I would be much obliged. Who
knows ?...perhaps a few will take a $14 chance on a somewhat quirky
scattered band of minstrels...enough so, so that we can continue
recording more music. Fell free to cut and paste whatever sections
of this Museletter you want before forwarding it on to whoever.

I Hope you can understand that it's not healthy for the cause to
give away free anymore of the cds.
I will be using a few freebies and the limited addition books to try
to promo the record from here on out. That's it.

Hell, I don't know about you, but I spend $14 on beer in alarmingly
small slices of time...some times in just minutes !!!
And as an acquantaince form Colorado once informed me...

"You know Joe, ya don't buy beer. Ya just rent it !!". so true, so
true. Cds should last a bit longer.
