The Healing Power of the Drum Workshop with Robert Lawrence Friedman; Bayside, NY

This workshop is for drummers, facilitators, health care workers, educators, team building facilitators and music therapists who would like to attain greater psychological, physiological and spiritual well-being through the drum. The Healing Power of the Drum workshop will focus on using the hand drum to release negative emotions, create greater joy, alter brainwave rhythms, enhance communication and achieve well-being.

Robert Lawrence Friedman, Remo artist, author of the Healing Power the Drum and practicing psychotherapist of fifteen years.
He has appeared on the Discovery Health Channel program, "Class of '75" as the stress management consultant. He has also appeared on "The Today Show" and "Fox News" discussing his use of the drum as a way to experience greater health and well-being. He has been interviewed by Cosmopolitan Magazine, New York Newsday, Self Magazine, and The Washington Times. He is also the writer of the "Healing Rhythms" column in Drum! Magazine.
