About The Facilitators' Playshop
The Facilitator's Playshop is an opportunity for those who work with
groups of people to learn facilitation and presentation skills through
the metaphor of a drum circle. A healing experience for the heart, mind
and body, cultures throughout the world have used the ageless forces of
rhythm to affect change. Arthur Hull, a master facilitator and keynote
presenter offers this week-long program for group leaders to join him
and learn the basic techniques of group facilitation. Arthur's
charismatic personality reverberates throughout this fun, dynamic and
playful event where participants will learn the technical skills
inherent in a successful rhythm based event.
You Do Not Have To Be A Musician To Participate
A drum circle is a fully participating group of people creating and
sharing a rhythmical and musical experience. This experience results in
harmony, camaraderie and a feeling of wellness amongst the
participating population. Regardless of the group's level of rhythmical
expertise, a good drum circle facilitator, with the proper skills and
focus, can help guide, direct and orchestrate a group to its highest
potential.

"The Playshop was an incredible happening, and regardless of the
experience level we came with we were all embraced equally and
encouraged to develop to the next level."
***************************************************************
Course Description
The facilitators Playshop is based on Arthur's book, Drum Circle
Spirit, Facilitating Human Potential Through Rhythm. Through small
group activities using movement, voice, musical instruments and
improvisational games, participants will learn group leadership skills,
presentation techniques and body language communication. Arthur teaches
his successful facilitation techniques in a format that is fun, lively
and informative.
Arthur has developed a week-long hands-on intensive program that will
provide a facilitator with extensive tools and techniques to
successuflly lead their own community drum circle.
The Grand Finale Community Drum Circle
Peer-selected participants of the Facilitators' Playshop will have the
opportunity to put into practice the skills acquired during the
playshop in this celebrational community drum circle event.

"Everyone at these playshops, at one time or another, has had
the same fears. There were no judgments, only an accepting and
supportive environment. At the playshops, you can create a
blueprint for your future... Facilitation is just as much for
beginners as it is for those that have had years of drumming
experience, if I can do it, anybody can."
