Saturday Afternoon, 2:00PM. Gather at the Northern Gate for a Rhythm Walk. This will be a study in mindful synchronicity: Walking in Two, with syncopated count-offs and rhythm chants, for about 7 to 10 minutes. We will walk to the Waterfalls and take positions over the falls and along the ledges on either side of the Cataracts as carved in the cliffs. This is flat ledge seating and rocks that are available. Drum Circle and DrumSong on the waterfalls, more or less around 2:15pm.

CHATHAM DRUM CIRCLE & SACRED CIRCLE OF SOUND; CHATHAM, NJ

Description: On-going monthly drum and sacred sound circle open to all. Everyone is welcome whether you make music, dance, or just listen.
Our circles are held year-round indoors in a beautiful space. In addition to our drums and percussion, we will also be playing Quartz Crystal and Tibetan Singing Bowls.
We also use voice, toning and intuitive chant.

From N.J. - Go across George Washington Bridge to The West Side Highway.
From the West Side Highway. Take the Dyckman Street exit.
Follow the exit as it merges with Broadway.
Drive North on Broadway to 218th Street.
Take a left on 218th Street and drive on 218th Street.
The entrance to the park is at the end of the street.
The Nature Center is located in Inwood Park.
From East side of N.Y.C. -
Take the FDR/East River Drive north to end. The end of the highway is at Dyckman Street. Bear left on Dyckman Street. Take Dyckman west to Broadway, and take a right on Broadway. Proceed north to 218th Street and make a left turn. The entrance to the park is at the end of 218th Street.

"COMMUNITY IN RHYTHM" DRUM CIRCLE; Weehawken, NJ

Description: WHAT? You haven't drummed in Weehawken before (or, maybe, not in a long time)? Then come play with us and share the communal spirit, energy, and joy of drumming together! This is a relaxed but energetic circle which is open to everyone who loves rhythm (NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY - this is for "drummers" and "non-drummers" alike). Some drums and percussion instruments will be available, but please bring your own if you have them. Light refreshments will be available. This is a FREE event.
This is an ongoing circle usually scheduled for the first Saturday of every month (except this month).
PLACE: Good Shepard Lutheran Church, corner of Park Ave. & Columbia Terrace, Weehawken, NJ
DIRECTIONS: From New Jersey, take New Jersey Turnpike or Route 3 to 495 (approach to Lincoln Tunnel); get in the right lane, and take the last exit before tunnel ("Hoboken/Weehawken"); at second traffic light, take a left onto Boulevard East (you'll be heading north); continue on Boulevard East for about 3/4 mile, then turn left onto Columbia Terrace; church is at the end of the second block, on the near right corner. Park
on the street ( try Columbia Terrace or Park Ave.), and enter basement of church on Park Ave (the door furthest from the corner). See you there!
From New York, take Lincoln Tunnel, then go up ramp in New Jersey, staying in the right lane; take first exit ("Weehawken/Boulevard East"), then proceed as above ("continue on Boulevard East for about 3/4 mile...").
By bus from NYC (a short ride - less than 15 minutes!): From the Port Authority Bus Terminal at 42nd St., take any bus from Gate 212 to Boulevard East and Liberty Place (busses leave every 10 to 15 minutes). At Liberty Place, walk north (same direction as bus) two blocks, then take a left onto Columbia Terrace. Walk two blocks to Park Ave, turn corner (to the right), and enter basement of church on Park Ave (the door furthest from the corner). See you there!
