I also make every attempt to include events for Jews of many different backgrounds. For instance, some people will not go to a concert in a non-kosher restaurant or bar, while others ignore the surroundings and just enjoy the music. Do not assume an event is okay for you just becasue I have publicized it -- consult your local Rabbi for more information.
The same applies to the issue of Kol Isha, concerning which there is a wide range of differing Rabbinic views. Once again, you should follow the opinion of a learned individual whom you accept as your authority on halachik matters. For more on the subject, see:
