Yes, actually you are quite correct. We've even got it wrong on the HCC web site
(I'll fix it). I must say until I went and checked, following your post, I was
unaware that Bronze medals were awarded for 4th place in the Collegiate
Competition.

To whoever it may concern,
I have noticed that in the 2004 spring edition newsletter of the buzz
magazine for nzabs that the mib quartet were referred to as the only,
and first, quartet from New Zealand to break the medal ranks at the
international barbershop contests. This is definitely not true as
another Wellington based quartet, Southern Harmony, got an
international 4th place bronze medal in the college contest back in
1999 Anaheim. One of my former COS chorus members was certain i got
the contest mixed up with the buckeye comp, but i don't think so.
This is five years before MIB medalled in Louisville.
Are the people or persons who compiled the newsletter aware of this
mistake.
