RE: [NZbbshop] Young Singers in Harmony Results

Allan - what was the judges' policy on scoring levels for the Young Men in
Harmony contest? Were the judges perhaps judging 10 points higher than for
an 'adult' contest? That does sound about right to me... Resonance 75% at
YSIH contest, 65% at Central Regionals with a similar performance; plus it
sounds about right for the YMIH medallists.

Cheers,
David Brooks

I will post the full results summary on the HCC Web Site tonight and publish
the link here, but just quickly, the YMIH Secondary Schools Quartet results
from yesterday for the first three places were:

441 74% SOUND WAVES (Tawa College, Wgtn)
437 73% GOLDILOCKS (BALDYLOCKS?) & THE 3 BEARS (Aotea College, Porirua)
412 69% THE FLATMATES (Takapuna Grammar)

In addition, in the YMIH Under 25 Section, there was only one entry:

450 75% RESONANCE (HCC Chapter/Vocal FX Chorus) - they were penalised a
couple of points for starting their first song in the wrong key and also
stuffing up the second restart.
