Welcome to our discussion group about the natural voice - a voice which is released rather than forced or trained - and its use in singing.

Members of this group have exchanged emails on a variety of subjects - though all connected to the use of the natural voice - including pitching, breathing, vocal confidence, finding songs and translations, leading choirs etc. and these can all be viewed in the archives.

Most of those who contribute are members of the Natural Voice Practitioners Network, people who use the natural voice in their work leading singing and voice groups and choirs. Nearly all of us are singers.

We believe in making singing accessible to everyone.

Our email dialogue has been going for over ten years and has been used by over 1,000 people. We have almost 5,000 emails on many different subjects in our archives available for you to read.

Although the Natural Voice Practitioners Network requries a membership fee, this email group is open to anyone, and free to join - yahoo fund their service through advertising.

I know I am not alone in hoping that you will write an email to the group introducing yourself, and saying something about your interest in the natural voice.
