March 17, 2008
Dear Navajo Nation Band Members,
Thank you to everyone who participated in this weekend Navajo Nation
Band Rehearsal. The way we sounded this weekend, we shall surely be
the hit of the parade, and give those Country and Western bands a run
for their money. Keep on practicing and start to walk/run/exercise,
so that your body will be reading for our 2008 Marching Season. The
music that we played this past weekend we shall surely be playing this
upcoming season. Now that the weather is starting to warm up, the
weekly-evening get-to-together will start back-up.
Secondly thank you to everyone who had a chance to vote on our new
uniform shirt color, 36 out 80 members voted
29 members voted for Navy Blue,
4 members voted for Grey,
2 members voted for Red, and
1 member voted for Crush Light-Blue.
So ladies and gentlemen we will be wearing Navy Blue for the next
couple of years.
Further details will be sent out as to how you can order your shirt
size. The goal for right now is to have the shirts ready so that we
can wear them during the Gallup Lions Club Rodeo-Parade.
Our next paid rehearsal and annual potluck luncheon will be on
Saturday, May 31, 2008 in Window Rock, Arizona.
If you have any additional comments or concern you may feel free to
contact me either by phone or by e-mail.
In the Musically Bond,
/s/ Anthony K. Billy
