Good Day Band Members and Supports,
I would like to thank everyone who participated in the Parade on
Monday, May 26th. We all had a great time other than it being a
windy day.
I want to remind everyone that this Saturday, May 31, 2008 we do have
our annual Potluck and rehearsal at the Navajo Nation Veterans Park
in beautiful Window Rock, Arizona. The potluck will be from 11 am
to about 1 pm. Due to fire restriction on the Navajo Nation we will
not be able start an open fire, so it is requested that everyone
bring an already fully-cooked dish of some sort. Around 1 pm will
will go ahead a start our rehearsal which will end around 4pm. So
please everyone bring all of your music, so that we can give
ourselves a wide range of music to play. At this time a tenative
music line-up will be announce. I will do my best to get additional
copies of music that we will be playing this year for those who dont
already have the music. Please be aware that some members may be
asked to play other part.
Please can everyone bring your own personal chairs to sit on, sun
screen to wear and wear a hat for protection, and bring plenty of
water to drink. We will do shirt size measurements this Saturday, so
that we can get you in the right shirt. There has been a number of
concern regarding the material of the shirt, and I would have to say
at this point it would be already to late to change the fabric
because it has been already order and is ready to be cut. There was
never any question or concern regarding the fabric when it was
announce at our rehearsal on March 15th. Our new shirt will be
ready late June but in time for the Fourth of July Trip.
Our Navajo Nation Band season for the Calendar year 2008 has begun
and for the next 4 months will be not stop events.
Please if you know of any members who are is not subscribe to the
list please spread the word.
