Ya'at'eeh Navajo Nation Band Members and Supports.
We are about week and half away from our annual band trip to
Mesecelero, NM for their 4th of July Celebration. The Navajo Transit
bus will be providing transportation for those member who do not want
to drive on their own. The bus will be leaving on Thursday July 3rd
from the Baahas' parking lot in Window Rock, AZ about 9:15-9:30 am.
We will make one other stay in Gallup, NM. This is a overnight event
and we will be staying at the Inn of the Mountain Gods. This lodging
is being provided by the Mesecelero Parade committee. We will be
participating in the parade on Friday, July 4th and soon as we take
care of business we will get on the road and head back to the Navajo
Nation and Window Rock.
There is some confusion about the the July 4th and 5th. As of Today,
June 20th there is no official word from the Division of Human
Resources regarding approval for the Band to participate in the Parade
in Window Rock on Saturday July 5th. If in any case this performance
would be on a volunteer basic or other wise we the Band are told
differently.
A letter should be forth coming regarding information for the events
for the month of July 2008.
I hope you all have great weekend.
