She came into the show business world and made the impossible possible: she sang in German and not English. Her hits climbed onto the top of the world charts, and she toured all over the world. She was original, simple, and innocent and had a smile that not many could resist. She sang about 99 Luftballons and she rocked the world! She rode the German New Wave in the 1980’s, and she moved away from it when she reached the shores of the 1990’s. Since 1980 she has been soothing her fans ears with her soft voice and she continued to sing when no one was around from the old days. Today, she still sings and laughs like 25 years ago. This site is dedicated to Nena herself. After all, she was the main figure of the band called Nena Band, and she was the one who continued to give us her music after the break-up of the band. This is a monumental contribution on her side, and Nena should receive credit for continuing the music and sound that we, the fans, love so much!
