Hello All,

Our November meeting went incredibly well! We discussed the idea to
form the planning committee mentioned in the email I previously sent
out about that very thing. Members Lisa Canida and Bruce Ross
enthusiastically volunteered. Todd Silva has also volunteered, so
now your planning committe members are:

Todd Silva
Lisa Canida
Bruce Ross
We will begin to pow-wow about implementing exciting ideas for
our NTMA members for 2006.

Other topics we discussed at the Noivember meeting were:
Creating a regular E-Newsletter with articles, gig opportunities, member
profiles, etc.
Creating Jam sessions/Coffee House nights
Producing music conferences
Fundraisers, combined concert events
How to build name recognition for our group which will increase
opportunities for NTMA members
Creating a website with many member benefits (any help with this
would be welcome)
Songwriting support
And many more!

I touched on some of these ideas already in my e mail invitation to
join the planning committee, and we will present more at our January
meeting.

We are gaining recognition within the New Thought/Spiritual
community beyond Houston including San Antonio and the Unity
Association of churches, and we are poised on the brink of many new
growth opportunities. Together we can raise awareness about the
power of music with healing/transformative messages, and expand
performance opportunities for all involved! As I continue to hear
about gigs and opportunities that would be of interest to the group
I will pass them along.
