and promotes New Scottish Music internationally, we therefore see "In
the City" as the UK's leading industry events where young Scottish
talent can get business critical access to industry professionals.
Previously NEMIS has assisted in promoting Mylo, Franz Ferdinand,
Dogs Die In Hot Cars, Biffy Clyro and Sons & Daughters and last
year's ITC saw The Cinematics sign to TVT, My Latest Novel to Bella
Union, Poor Old Ben to Universal Publishing, Multiplies to Polydor
feeder Hatch Records and Figure 5 pick up a Saatchi & Saatchi
campaign.

This year we feature 3 of the coolest Scottish artists
including "Raising Kain" endorsed by NME as "the best unsigned band
in the UK", the fierce glam punk of German-Scottish duo "The Very",
who recently performed at T in the Park and the eloquent and sexy
trip-hop of "Lexxi".

11:00 PM Raising Kain - Rock'n'Roll lives in the bottom of a Jack
Daniels bottle and the devil didn't take Robert Johnson's soul but he
surely did Raising Kain's and exchanged it for a rock passion, sleaze
and commitment not seen since the Stones and Faces were given a fuck-
