The Jazz Bar retains its status as the coolest new place on the
capital's live music scene to hear both local and international world
music, hip hop, electronic jazz, funk and soul bands.

Its still free to get in before 11.30pm, DJs still play before and
after the bands, we still have a dancefloor and there are still some
seats and tables at the back. The aim of the night is simple – funky
fun with a live band every night.

This collaboration between Erik D'Viking of Trouble and Astroboy from
the Four Corners / Departure Lounge camp. Every Saturday we're still
having a dance watching some bands and playing records along with
other local guest DJs.

Funky ska, reggae and Afrocentric roots music from Toby Shippey and his
Salsa Celtica spin-off project.

On Stage Very Special Guest Band: Sorenson Soul Workout
Stopping by in Edinburgh via Glasgow whilst they record a session for
Glasgow's Buff records, this quartet features New York drummer and
soul-jazz supremo Adam Sorenson who has just recently been on tour
Blue Note legend that Melvin Sparks and plays in New York organ
quartet Roboto (www.robotomusic.com). Also joining this all star
line up are top UK funk guitarist is Allan McKeown and Manchester's
finest organ player, Steve Brown who performs with top British
including The Cinematic Orchestra.

On Stage: Innasoul feat. Howard Booker Bridges II
CLASSIC Soul and reggae from this group who return after an
extended break from live shows. This band took the roof off
at their Jazz Bar debut in November.
