Blurb :: VAUDEVILLE CABARET CLUB
The Fringe's nightly cabaret showcase and dancehall afterparty
"Four stars...The most dazzlingly decadent night out that anyone
could possibly want" -- Fest
Get swept away into a chaotic mix of circus, sideshow, burlesque,
comedy, music and performance art. Featuring accordion-wielding
compere Mikelangelo of the Black Sea Gentlemen alongside laughter,
magic and performers from across the globe in a russian roulette
of outrageous cabaret. Be blown away by untamed gypsy klezmer
punk from New York City; gasp with shocked delight at a high-
flying accordion-wielding aerialist; let yourself be seduced
by a daring burlesque diva; be charmed and tricked at sideshows
of illusion and mysterious magic. Leave the ordinary world
behind, come in costume or in disguise...and make sure to
arrive early for a stage-side table at what promises to be
this year's most eclectic and outrageous festival showcase.
Different show every night!
After the Show, choose sparkling conversation in the upstairs
Cocktail Lounge or wild dancing at The One O'Clock Club, where
live bands and DJs play jazz, klezmer, gypsy, carnival, twisted
pop and infectious rhythms from around the world until the
dancers stop or dawn breaks.
"A raw spontaneous atmosphere...Keep a window in your Fringe
diary for this crazy cabaret crew. Free range theatre at its
very best" -- Edinburgh Guide
"The best Cabaret, Burlesque night in Scotland." -- Nightnews

8 months ago Alan Bryden's outfit performed a farewell gig at
London's Jazz Cafe. He then promptly took off to Brazil where
he was getting very busy in the favellas with his laptop and a
microphone. The stage is set for the third installment and finale
of a residency where we have asked him develop his fresh material
and take risks in front of our friendly crowd. In June he blew us
away with his tight Brazilian house and British funk groove, keeping
everyone hungry for more by refusing to play an encore.

Tong, it would be Lubi Jovanovic" STRAIGHT NO CHASER

rhythm sections this side of New Orleans. This crew are loud and
will totally rock the house, make no mistake! They do a stunning
cover version of Rage Against The Machine's Bullet In The Head.
