Nightnews-media REPORT :: The Cathouse takes on Edinburgh!!!

---

They say: "CATHOUSE ROCK CLUB HEADS EAST"

"The Cathouse and Studio 24 are joining forces in a marriage of metal,
sweat and Jack Daniels, to bring the best in alternative clubbing to
Scotland's capital.

Studio 24, in the heart of Edinburgh, has been a huge part of the
underground music scene for years. It has played host to many up and
coming and established artists, from Rancid to Lily Allen and is
recognised as one of the best venues on the live circuit.

The Cathouse is a pivotal club on the Glasgow music scene. Not content
to surf trends, The Cathouse is truly a club that sets the music
agenda with a focus on breaking new talent with an amorphous music
policy that sticks two fingers in the face of stereotyping.
Celebrating SIXTEEN years of ever increasing popularity this November,
The Cathouse is also shortlisted for the prestigious title of Scottish
Nightclub of the Year at Scotland's "Licensed Trade Oscars" (Scottish
Licensed Trade Awards 2006).

Put these two legendary clubs and live venues together and what do you
get? Only the best darn rock weekend that Edinburgh has ever witnessed!

The Cathouse launch weekend kicks off on Friday 3rd November with the
riot starting, cop baiting, hotel trashing, foul talking, noise
making, chaos causing, venue wrecking, government hating, rule
breaking, unrelenting, punk rockin' Exploited, Scotland's original
punk pioneers. The boys are back playing their hometown for one night
only.

Stick around for an R.K. with DJ Dec playing a mix of punk and ska
classics old and new. Plus The Exploited boys will be playing some of
their favourite tunes.

Join us on Saturday 4th November for the official Cathouse launch with
DJs Barry and Muppet playing commercial rock to current hits and the
classics. There's a free drink on arrival, gig ticket give-aways,
burlesque performers and our unique "Babe" service.

This is also your chance to buy the last remaining tickets for Rancid
who play Studio 24 on Thursday 9th November. Ask staff for details.

Doors for both Friday and Saturday open 11pm – 4am (subject to licence)."
