Having been selected by Vic Galloway to appear at the BBC's Digital
Proms Next Stage, Found are on a roll. They have been compared to
the Beta Band, Tom Waits and Beck. It is blues, jazz, folk and
leftfield beats rolled up in a blanket and smothered with Scottish
charm. We don't guarantee dancing, but we do wage our lives on a
thrilling experience. This will definitely be our gig of the month.

This awesome Edinburgh trio and Fish Fry favourites return to
party with their fusion of acid jazz, funk-rock and reggae.
They have performed at Ronnie Scott's jazz club and London's
Kashmir Klub as KT Tunstall's backing band (They also sang
backing vocals on her Mercury nominated album 'Eye to the Telescope').

We've seen this lot at both the Arches and Cabaret Voltaire -
They rocked the joints on both occasions. They do vocal disco,
soul and funk with the individuality of Parliment whilst having
just as much fun as the Cuban Brothers. Its uptempo dance music
from the West coast with plenty of attitude. This is another
Fish Fry debut, it took us 6 months to find them and tie them
down to a date.

Boom Monk Ben is a bit of an oddity. A Hip Hop DJ who beat
juggles Derrick Carter records, a Drum and Bass DJ who keeps
playing Funk and Northern Soul cuts, a Reggae collector with
a penchant for Beck and Bjork...
The Boom Monk is renowned for selecting the best of underground
Hip Hop, Drum & Bass, House, Electronica and the rest, as well
as displaying a passion for the older groove through boxes of
the heaviest New Orleans Funk to the rawest Kingston Dance Hall
and Roots Reggae, taking in the best of Psychedelic Rock, Jazz,
Soul, Disco and his favourite dance floor nuggets from through
the years.
A prominent figure in Glasgow's close knit clubbing scene, Ben
can be found cutting, spinning and fumbling his way through boxes
of beats at the city's best clubs, bars and radio stations. Art
School, The Arches, Sub Cluband The Basement Bar are all smashed
to pieces by the Boom Monk on regular occasions with his diverse
mix of dance floor bangers, acapella blends and 3 deck
mixing.
Playing host to some of Glasgow's favourite club nights and music
events, Boom Monk Ben has showcased the best local performers &
DJs as well as inviting more exotic friends to come and join him
- if only to get his vinyl signed! These include DJ Food & DK,
Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Spank Rock, Fingathing, Breakestra,
Treva Whateva & Boca 45 to name a few. 2006 has seen Ben catch
the attention of clubs nationwide and further with guest
appearances all over the UK.
A favourite of the Solid Steel, Subcity Radio and Radio Magnetic
crews, Ben is often the choice DJ when it comes to these famous
radio stations bringing the noise with their sell out events.

"This looks like a big one! After trying our hardest for the last
2 years we finally managed to persuade Scruff to come to the Cab
to the give the Troublemakers 6 hours of that Manchester magic.

Mr. Scruff is a British music producer, DJ and artist. He is a
native of Manchester and studied Fine Art at the Sheffield College
of Art. Mr Scruff's debut album, Mr. Scruff, was released on the
small Manchester based label Pleasure Records. He soon moved to
the larger Ninja Tune label, and subsequently released the albums
Keep It Unreal and Trouser Jazz which contains his well-known hit
"Get A Move On". Add these solo efforts to his now legendary Keep
It Solid Steel mix and the recent Big Chill Classics to give
yourself an idea of just how much of a household name the man
has become.

His DJ name was inspired by his trademark loose-lined drawing
style. He has been DJing since 1994, at first in and around
Manchester then nationwide in the United Kingdom. He is known
for DJing in marathon sets (a real scoop for us, clocking in
at six hours), his eclectic musical taste, his love of a
"nice cup of tea" and the quirky home-produced visuals and
animations that are projected on large screens during his
gigs. Music wise Scruff is a true Trouble-maker, this will
be a killer gig where he is sure to drop the full spectrum
from reggae and dub right through to techno and d&b.

We have to keep advance ticket sales limited to 400 to make
sure everyone is comfortable in the venue. Once these are
sold there will be a small amount of tickets held back for
sale on the door if the man thinks it looks nice and we can
let a few more in." Eric
