THE CHAT
Still bouncing from recent nights at The Caves and Cabaret Voltaire,
once again we assemble some super-fine talents under the Trouble roof
for something of a one-off. 2ManyMCs features the geek-chic hip hop of
The Abdominal Showmen LIVE plus our favourite MCs from Edinburgh and
Manchester: Profisee takes the stage with our own dapper resident,
Ratty B, plus MC Kwasi – three unqiue talents with three very
distinctive styles.

N.B. This is not a hip hop night – more like a house party with a hip
hop attitude (hip house anyone?). The Trouble DJs are sure to break
the hip hop mould in to multiple parts and increase the pressure on
the dance floor several fold.

The Abdominal Showmen
This gang all met at Edinburgh College of Art and, having been
gathering momentum for over five years now, made a breakthrough last
month when one of their tracks featured on a compilation album put
together by London hip hop label Breakin' Bread. Their original sound
has been described as geek-hop and space funk. Whatever you call it,
there are heavy drums, screeching synths, bouncing bass and MC M
Krumins' unmistakeable Edinburgh drawl.

Profisee
Anyone familiar with Edinburgh's innovative hip hop/d n b combo The
Great Ezcape or hip hop party Soul Biscuits will know how skilled a
rapper Nike Oruh, aka MC Profisee, is. An MC and performer for over a
decade, his live stage incarnation is reminiscent of a young KRS1 as
he spits a world-weary, conscious flow. A former member of the
Scotland Yard Emcees, who won the Dazed & Confused Re:Creation awards
in 2003, Profisee has collaborated with Blackanized/Yush2k, DJ Red 6,
LiveSciences, DJ Nasty P and Reachout, is one third of The Great
Ezcape and is now working on his solo debut as The Whether Man.

Profisee has also just collaborated with Hexstatic on their new album
and is due to perform with them at their album launch at Cargo in
London (June 29th) and then at this year's Big Chill. We've been
watching this guy since his days at Seen (Honeycomb/former Cabaret
Voltaire) and Kulu's Jazz Joint (Henry's Cellar Bar) in the late
Nineties and working with him since we launched the original Trouble
At The Blue Note in 2002. Make no mistake; this is one talent going

Kwasi
We first met Kwasi Asante, aka MC Kwasi, at the Knockengorroch
Festival in Dumfries & Galloway, 2005, when we joined him in the booth
of the Mungo's Hi Fi Sound System and he and Ratty B struck up a real
chemistry. A dreadlocked host, percussionist and singer with
infectious personality and a laid-back, reggae, toasting style, he's
got a list of recording and live performance/collaborative credits as
long as your arm:

Ratty B
As stylish, eccentric and original as the Trouble DJs' selections, Ian
Bruce, alias MC Ratty B, adds his own unique flair to the mix. Don't
be fooled by the image, though (or rather do be fooled – that's part
of the fun!). After years of honing his skills at jungle and drum n
bass clubs, this floppy-haired, bespectacled young squire can rhyme
and flow like the rudest of bad bwoys from Britain's inner cities, as
well as singing in key, bringing something genuinely inventive and
original to the table and ensuring the Trouble crew stand out even more.

The Dogtooth Girls
DOGTOOTH is a club night that larges it up every other Friday at
Henry's Cellar Bar. The Dogtooth Girls, Laura and Sophie, play a
furious mix of disco indie, electro and ravin' new wave. Only the
best, mind. From time to time The Dogtooth Girls play host to
ultra-fashionable new bands from around the world, including Neon
Plastix, Bono Must Die, Trash Fashion, Scarlet Soho, Dandi Wind and
