Press Release

:: GLASGOW CULT CLUB NIGHTS COME TOGETHER FOR WAR ON THE DECKS
Digital Harlot and Monox Prepare for a Club Land Battle

Cult Glasgow Industrial, EBM and Digital Hardcore night Digital Harlot
re-launches
at the Barfly on Saturday the 7th of July 2007 with a special guest appearance
from
Glasgow’s number on techno event, Monox.

The event, which will see Digital Harlot’s resident DJs Dawnimatrix and Effigy
(Cryotec, Flux) go head to head on the decks with the Monox boys, promises to be
all
out noize warfare of epic proportions and revellers are encouraged to attend in
military uniform as part of the “This Time It’s War” theme.

Digital Harlot is Scotland’s only dedicated digital hardcore, breakcore and
power
noize club night. After a successful year at the Strathclyde Union, Digital
Harlot
has moved to bigger and better things with the Barfly club. Digital Harlot
quickly
gained notoriety in club land for its ostentatious theme nights (including a
zombie
medical night, Valentines Massacre ball and a club kid carnival), top name guest
DJs
(including Ultraviolence, Deathstars and Mortiis) and its unwillingness to
pander to
the mainstream.

Monox is arguably Glasgow’s most respected and underground techno night, having
played hosts to some of the worlds finest DJ’s and live acts including Adam X,
DJ
Funk, Underground Resistance, Woody McBride and Scan 7.

Attendees to Digital Harlot vs. Monox: This Time It’s War can expect to hear
punishing music from the likes of Panzer AG, Shitmat, Atari Teenage Riot,
Ultraviolence, Combichrist, Delta 9, Fleshfield, DJ Scotch Egg, Ladyscraper, The
Horrorist and much, much more.

We invited this band back straight away after hearing their debut show. Expect
smooth Latin, soul, jazz and funk. With live percussion, horns and a rhythm

all being brought together by their stunning female vocalist Lady Miss Emerald
we
expect this act to go down very well. Their demos bring together influences
from

From the tangled streets of New York comes Ray Lugo and his band Kokolo. They

Sat 4th August 2007
On Stage: Killer Shark + DJs Erik d'Viking & Astroboy
This is some of the most exciting, electronic dancefloor jazz being made in
Edinburgh right now. The 5 virtuoso players (M.Kershaw, P/Harrison,
S.Tomlinson,
W.Molleson) who formed the backbone of Green Juice have teamed up with guitarist
Graham Steven and found a new direction writing spooky Herbie Hancock and
inspired
grooves. They like to call it Danger Jazz!

Sat 11th August 2007
On Stage: Mosa Funk Club + Guest DJ Cez (Sopot, Poland)
They are clearly influenced by acts such as Miss Dynamite and Goldie Lookin
Chain
(both of who they happen to have shared stages with). Combining urban chic,
good
humour with dancefloor funk, they have been one of the Fish Fry's favourite acts
over the last year.

Telescope').

and
they know it" Daily Record

Sat 25th August 2007

music

Saturday
night amid the rash of techno/house clubs and student lipstick bars elsewhere in
the
capital" The Skinny
